China On The Rise QUEEN AYACODOBAE was invited to China to participate in the Third Chinese Music International Conference, which she attended in Beijing in 1994. It was through her brilliant musical performance with Phil Cohran of Zulu Productions at the DuSable Museum in Chicago, Illinois that Queen received her invitation to the People’s Republic of China. After her performance of Ancient African Ancestor’s Calls, an African Opera which she created, QUEEN AYACODOBAE was well on her way across the world with her message of Peace and Love. She received numerous Letters of Support from city, state, county, and federal government officials, local businesses, community and private organizations, professional educators, and religious leaders. Each letter spoke of her as an excellent candidate to attend this conference. QUEEN AYACODOBAE is an uniquely talented and skillful visionary, passionate about her work and dedicated to the Earth’s existence and the preservation of human life. She seeks to stop the violence within the human spirit as portrayed in her music.

“China on the Rise” is the title of a song written by Queen on the night before her first trip to mainland China. Although she had never visited China, the feeling that overcame her brought forth the lyrics to the song. In this song, Queen describes China’s strength in productivity, International investments, competitive sports, musical and cultural bonds and, excellence in the many skills of Chinese people as well as their rising popularity throughout the world. The song emphasizes places in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and

Xi’an, Hunan, and Fukien.

The Third Annual Chinese Music International Conference availed Queen the privilege and honor to meet, work with and later befriend two very well-known and highly respected Chinese women, Ye Ganlin and Zhang Tongxia. Ye Ganlin, a cognitive musicologist, helped to promote and develop various disciplines, such as cognitive musicology, music theory, symbol musicology, science of thought, computer science, artificial intelligence and robot science. She was also the tour guide and Queen’s roommate for the duration of the trip. Zhang Tongxia, a famous Gu-Chin musician, opera singer and actress, has succeeded both the national traditions and brought forth new ideas and probations in her simultaneous play of Gu-Chin and singing. As a responsible official of the Office of the China Union, she has actively taken part in organizing academic exchanges of the Gu-Chin art. Zhang Tongxia often participated in performing, thus gaining her widespread acclaim from vast audiences both at home and abroad.

Queen shared her song, “China on the Rise”, with Ye Ganlin and Zhang Tongxia. They were very impressed by her sensitivity, knowledge and awareness of China, its people and culture without ever having traveled to China before writing the song. They encouraged Queen to find a means of marketing and promoting her song in the region. Their love, friendship, guidance, and support helped to land Queen in Hong Kong for the Handover Ceremony in 1997. As part of the celebration she performed “China on the Rise” at the New World International Hotel, today known as Renaissance Harbour View Hotel Hong Kong. She advises people around the world to visit China whether for business or pleasure and be a part of history in the making. The place is so vast, it would take a lifetime to see all of China but a trip can help one to get started. It should be noted that while Queen Ayacodobae initially saw the rise of China merely through a song in 1994, China has captured extensive media attention reflected by over 23 million results in a simple internet search indicating, “China On The Rise”.
