Welcome

The year 2009 I was just in the process of starting out. Posts were not very frequent and many of them were more about the day to day activities of my classroom.

However, along the way some links and ideas still hold true today.

Many of these in this collection are more fun, but you can see where I was five years ago.

Enjoy

IntroductionI don’t expect anyone to go back and read through the thou-sands of blog posts that I have shared over the course of the last five years since I started blogging. My blog has changed fo-cus and perspective over the years depending on what I am in-spired by and what moves me to remain a life long learner.

I am in the process of writing two books and for part of my writ-ing journey I have started to go back from the start to check out what I have shared to learn about myself and how I have changed. While reading the beginning posts I felt the need to click links and see what still holds true today.

This collection are some of my favorite links and ideas shared from the year 2009. I did not post as frequent back then and was really trying to find a voice. I was in a completely different frame of mind. I am not the best blogger now, but I was not very good back then. However, some posts are quite fun and addict-ing.

As a thank you for subscribing to my newsletter I wanted to compile the best links and ideas from the blog from the year 2009. In case you have forgotten moments from 2009 go ahead and read quick recap of current events.

Here is a collection of links and ideas I shared in the first months of my blog when I first started out. Funny how times have changed, but still not really changed. I hope you enjoy these like I enjoyed going back in time to see what I was shar-ing. I hope you enjoy this and I hope to push out Volume 2: 2010 in the next month.

Feel free to reach out and let me know what you found fun or addicting or useful from this volume.

Sites of Major Time Wasting

“Once again as I was wasting time on the computer this morn-ing trying to motivate myself to run when I came across two more websites to waste time. The one website will make you feel stupid. At least it made me feel stupid. Have fun!” (Cof-feechug)

Riddle

There was once a wicked queen who lived in a wonderful pal-ace in the mountains. She decided one day to build another pal-ace so she sent her guards to the villages and told them to bring back all the young men to build it. Of course the young men didn’t want to leave their homes, and one demanded to speak to the queen, to complain about how unfairly she was treating them all. Impressed by his spirit the queen decided to give him a chance.

“Come with me,” she said and he followed her out to the castle garden.

She held up a small bag. “Into this bag my servant will put two stones, a black one and white one. You will draw from the bag one stone. If it is black you will work for me, if it is white you will go home.”

The young man agreed, but not fully trusting the queen he watched the servant closely. To his horror his keen eyes saw the servant place two black stones in the bag.

“Draw,” commanded the queen.

The young man was able to go home.

If you cannot solve it, then do a a little Google search

What did you think? I would for you to let me know your thoughts? If you have been reading my blog for a while now you can how things have changed. A majority of this is just links to fun things.

If you do any of the challenges please share with me either on my site, Twitter, or email. I would love to hear your thoughts(good and bad) so I can improve the 2010 edition.

Each edition will take longer to produce due to the amount of posts that share over time.

Thanks for reading!
