Add a black background

• First I am going to add a black background as in the CD cover used in MixMag the background is white and I feel as though black would work best with the layer I am going to use on top.

• Also, you can see that the cover has used the same design as the background of the front cover which is also something I have done in my cover. I have done this as it shows consistency on the front cover.

Adding the layer

• I then added the blue background I used in my front cover on top of the black but I left some space around the edges to create a border.

Add name and other details

• I then added the artists name and other details such as “Trance presents…” This is because this has been done in the MixMag magazine and it just makes the cover look more professionally done.

Extras:

• To make “Dj Amzz” stand out more I put a black box as a fill for the font and this made it look more noticeable.

I moved “exclusive mix” under the artists name instead of at the top as I think it looks more neater and easy to read. Also, I didn’t add a lot of design on to it as I like the idea of the CD cover being easy to read and straight to the point. However, by adding the different colours to the cover I have still made it attractive to EDM listeners.
