Technological convergence:Is how technology lets Media texts to be produced and distributed on several media devices. The change from film to digital means phones/tablets etc. can be used to show and market film specifically because film takes up too much space but digital storage can be very small.

Media convergence:

Is how Media Production companies use a selection of Media to show their product. Magazine companies have a print version, website and a social network page. Cross Media convergence is usually possible because of technological convergence. Meaning when people make a film or are selling a product, a company take into thought who would be able to access and exhibit it.

Film distribution is the development of a company marketing a film, available for audience to view it. Normally, this is the task of a qualified film distributor, who would control the marketing strategy for the film, the media in which a film is to be shown or made available for viewing, and who may set the release date and other element that need checking before the film is exhibited. This is a different company who specialise just in film distribution. This is other known as synergy as there are two or more companies working together to distribute the film.
