2. Caring For SharringLEUKEMIAWARRIORSharring Faamalo Fanene Aoelua 3. Sharring was born on Christmas, December 25, 1982.Her grandmother is Lusila Galeai Aoelua. Hergrandfather is Vaa Valovalo Aoelua. 4. Sharring attended Aua Elementary School.She spent the following 4 years at Fagaitua High. 5. Sharring was veryactive at Fagaitua.She was in theNHS, JROTC andserved as theStudent Body Vice-President. 6. Sharring was Captain of the Cheerleading Squad and the Miss Fetu o Sasae. 7. Sharring graduated aViking with honors.She continued hereducation at ASCCand tutored,performed in thetheatrical arts andparticipated in allSGA activities. 8. Sharring helped fundraise for the newASCC library and graduated a member ofthe Phi Theta Kappa. 9. Sharring served as leader and secretaryin church. She also played volleyball while stationed at Germany. 10. Sharring fell inlove & marriedher collegesweetheart,Jonathan Niusulufrom the villageof Pago Pago. 11. On Good Friday,April 2010,Sharring wasdiagnosed withLEUKEMIA. 12. She lost her hair,went through 8cycles ofchemotherapy,monthly intrathecoprocedures, numerousbiopsies and muchmore. 13. The medications and transfusions are verycostly but they are needed to keep her alive. 14. Cancer is painful and lonely. Sharring drinkslots of pills daily. The drugs make her weak,nauseous, dizzy, lose her appetite, forgetful,have mood swings, difficult to concentrate,migraines, and sensitive to sunlight. 15. Sharring caught the cough from someone and was rushed to the ICU. 16. Because of the many prayers and lovefrom others, especially our Savior,Sharring is pulling through thishorrible experience. 17. When Sharring is able, she attends bone marrowdrives to help find matches for any cancer patientincluding herself. She loves to serve. 18. American Samoa Bone Marrow Drive 2011ASCC 19.
