You need…

an iPod, iPod Touch or an iPhone

iTunes installed on your computer

a library card

a PC Computer - with Windows XP oran Apple Mac Computer with OS X 10.4

Start at http://connstatelib.mylibraryaudio.com/

On the left, type “Juvenile Fiction” and check

“Only Available Items.” Browse for a book.

When you find one, click on “Add to Bookshelf.”

When you are asked, enter

your library card number and

click “Go”

Click on “Go to Bookshelf.”

Under “Downloads” you will

see the book.

Click on “Download now”

Click on “Download the

Ingram Media Manager”

for PC

(or for OS X)

If you are asked:

“Would you like to save this

file?”

Click “Save file”

Then open the file

If you are asked:

“Do you want to run or save

this file:

Click “Run”

You will see the software start to download

Another box may ask:

“Do you want to run this

software?”

Click “Run”

When the download is complete,

you are ready to set up Ingram

Media Manager, which will let

you download the audio books

that you borrow.

Click Next

Click “Next”Check “I accept the terms in the

License Agreement.” Click “Next”

Click FinishClick Install

Click “Allow”

Return to the iCONN

download page. Click on

“Click here to get your title”

Click Accept

When you see the

“Download Complete”

message, click “Transfer”

Your book will start to download and

you will start to hear the recording.

(For iPod users)

Now connect your iPod

to the computer.

If you have an iPod, click iPod. If

you an another type of device,

click Windows Media.

Your iPod will begin to “sync.”

iTunes will open and appear at

the bottom of your computer.

Ingram Media Manager will tell

you that your device was

detected.

It will tell you if the book will fit

on the iPod.

Click “next”

You will see the book being

transferred. When you see a

message that says the transfer

is complete, click “Close”

You will see a listing of all

the chapters in the book.

Click “Next”

Maximize iTunes which will be open at the bottom of your

computer screen. Check that the downloaded book is on

your device. Each chapter will be a separate track.

Eject your iPod. Congratulations!

You can now begin to listen to your audio book.

Remember, you have borrowed this book from the

library for 2 weeks. If you want to keep it longer,

you must borrow it again.
