ANCIENT ROME
“Romans believe their city was founded in the year 753 B.C. . Modern historians believe it was founded in the year 625 B.C.” (roman-empire.net) There are four classes of people: slaves, plebeians, knights and nobles. Roman Republic senate was appointed by the council. Julius Caesar was a Roman politician and general. Rome was conquered in the year 476 A.D. by the Visigoth Odoacer.
ANCIENT CHINA
Ancient China is well over 4,000 years old. China was ruled by several dynasties including Qin dynasty (221-206 B.C.E) , Han dynasty (206 B.C.E-220 A.D.), Zhou dynasty(1046-256 B.C.E). The Qin dynasty pronounced “chin” by defeating all rival states and assuming absolute responsibilities for maintain order. “First emperor Shih Huang Di (259-210B.C.E) appointed a large salaried bureaucracy, ordered a census of Chinas population (the first of its kind in world history) oversaw the standardization of written Chinese, and divided China into the provinces that exist to this day.”(Fiero pg.84)
