One of the fastest growing types of music in the world, Dubstep is a new form of electronic music that combines heavy bass with samples, synthesizer, keyboard, turntables and hard- hitting drum tracks. Dubstep originated in South London. The people who would usually listen to Dubstep range from 15 and above, but this genre could also have younger listeners who like it. In this image, “Dubstep” almost looks like Graffiti with a skull drawn on it. For this effect they have introduced depth. The reason they have done this is to create a 3D effect, which projects the masthead from the background to draw the audience. As you go from left to right, the word changes colour from a dark colour to a lighter one. Both this colours complement one another going from purple to blue.

This image of “Dubstep” is also in depth which makes a 3D effect to draw the audience away from the image instead to looking at the main image of the magazine. The masthead also fades vertically from green to white, the masthead also outlined in purple.
