Welcome to the 2014 Catalogue for FEP Online FEP Online is the online learning platform for Financial Education Professionals Pty Ltd. This is a

dynamic catalogue as we are constantly adding to our suite of subjects depending on our clients’

needs and market changes.

The subjects on this platform vary from short subjects to full qualifications. Therefore, the format

of each differs according to depth, pitch and content. In addition, as they are e-learning courses,

they employ a variety of tools and activities aimed at capturing the participant’s attention and

underpinning learning. All of our subjects attract points/ hours towards continuing professional

development. Most subjects employ “learning checks” which can screen existing knowledge up

front and test learning as the participant progresses. Many also employ formal assessments at

the conclusion of the course.

ASIC’s Regulatory Guide 206 stipulates that credit representatives:

a) Providing independent home loan credit assistance must complete at least 20 hours of

Continuing professional development each year

b) Only providing home loan credit assistance in relation to their licensee’s own credit

products must complete:

i. A minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development each year; or

ii. A regular knowledge update review and sufficient hours of Continuing

Professional Development each year to enable completion of the knowledge

update review

c) All other representatives must complete between 10 and 30 hours of Continuing

Professional Development each year.

FEP Online delivers a short subject aimed at satisfying the regulatory requirements imposed for

those operating under an Australian Credit Licence (ACL).

ASIC’s Regulatory Guide 206 stipulates that each holder of an Australian Credit Licence is

required to ‘maintain and update the qualifications and experience of your Responsible

Managers and ensure that your Responsible Managers undertake at least 20 hours of continuing

professional development (CPD) per year.

The Responsible Managers of each credit licence must keep up to date with credit industry and

regulatory developments in order to provide sound leadership for their organisation. ASIC

specifies a number of hours of continuing professional development (CPD) per year that

Responsible Managers must take. This CPD must relate to credit and compliance issues.
