Advantages of Digital System

Advantages Noise immunity. Less use of band width. Encryption. Efficiency is higher for long distance. These are only the basic advantages. More advantages can be learn from

any standard book. Increase in number of levels makes

the digital signal more accurate.

Example We can take an example of grading

scheme. Lets we have 100 students attending a

paper. We have two levels 0-50-100. So it is not good to say 0 to 50 are fail

amt above then 50 are pass. We need more levels. Hence we divide it like grade A,B,C,D,E,F..

Switches In digital system we use 0 and 1 only. 0 represent off. 1 represent on. Close switch represent 1. Open switch represent 0. For each switch we have two case 0

and 1. Increase in number of switch increase

0 and 1 as power of 2.

Truth Table As we know about on and off of

switches. According to these switches there are

some results. Representing all possible results in a

table is called truth table. No of rows depends on switches. We use formula 2^n to get no of

rows. N is the number of switches in a case.
