Dr. Phill’s Eval10 simple questions

Note: To make the questions interesting, I’ve posed each of them as part something pop culture related. If any of them don’t make sense on the surface, just do your best to answer. I’m not grading you on these– the responses are to help me to teach better next time.

You bump into your old friends, silly science scholars Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter, in the student center. The big office next to Sheldon was open, and will now host some “yahoo” named Dr. Phill. You mention having taken his class. How do you predict Dr. Phill will fit in with Dr. Cooper?

For some reason, you’re on the stand in the court room and Tom Cruise is questioning you. I know, I know, it’s a stretch. He asks you about taking 224 this fall. You ask him what his question is, and he tells you that he just wants the truth. Tom, YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH! What was “the truth” of your experience in 224?

Rap “star” Macklemore invites you to the thrift shop with him and Ryan Lewis. You have to pick an item in the store that represents this class. What would you hope to find while digging, and why does it represent this course? Remember: you only got 20 dollars in your pocket.

While we all generally hate re-runs, if you’re like Dr. Phill, you still watch your favorite shows every time they’re on. So of all the assignments in class– what one is your “Festivus” episode of Seinfeld, the episode you’d watch over and over (e.g. want to do again) and why?

The show Boardwalk Empire recently ended. While most will miss NuckyThompson (the star of the show), the forlorn moment for Dr. Phill came two episodes before the end when his favorite character Chalky White died. What is the ‘dying’ part of 224 that you’ll miss? What part are you glad to see fade to black forever?
