The title of the filmWe have chosen the name ‘Stalker’ as straight away the audience will recognise that this film will be about a stalker that must follow someone else and that this must be a horror film. The title also comes at the end of the film opening because we wanted the audience to know overall what has happened during the film opening and that this one word sums up the opening. The title zooms into the screen after the film opening has finished with a short suspense music.

Settings/locationWe used different locations involving outdoors and indoors. The key location was outdoors as Akib was killed by the stalker while walking home. Our outdoors location ranged from outside the school building, roads, alleyway and field. Akib was killed outdoors in an isolated area because it is most common for a person to get stalked when they are outdoors in a quiet area.

Costumes and propsAkib whom was the student was dressed wearing school clothing such as shirt, tie and trousers. This is so the audience immediately knows that this must be a student and feel pity for him as he is a student. The stalker however was wearing a black hoodie, trousers and a mask. This was because we wanted the stalker to look like a thug and to hide his identity as well make the audience become scared upon seeing him.

Camerawork and editingAll are footage was very still and not wobbly. This was because we had used the tripod for all the shots. If any shot was wobbly while filming we would film it again and not hold the tripod as this could make the camera shake a bit. We used one basic transition and this was a cut edit. We didn’t want to make the film opening into a story with fade transitions. We also used mostly pan movements to show the audience what the character sees.

Title, font and styleFor all the credits, we used all the same font and style. We didn’t want the audience to focus on the credits too much and just the scenes. The titles faded out and would mostly appear on the left or right side. The font of all the titles look big and bulky and we also tried to make it look like real film openings of other films.

Story and how the opening sets it upThe narrative of this film is simple to understand. It is most typical in horror films. There is a stalker going around murdering people and this was clearly portrayed in the film opening. The stalker's identity is hidden by a mask and so the audience would want to continue watching to find out who the stalker is. The opening sets up with a quiet student who is finished extra enrichments and is on the way home. He is unfortunately killed which creates sympathy by the audience.

Genre and how the opening sets it upOur main genre is horror however we chose to have a bit of of thriller. The horror conventions are clear and the opening makes the audience jump of their seats. This is due to the film opening being quiet making it eerie. Thriller isn’t shown in the film opening however it will throughout the film. The mask the stalker wore is also a convention of horror as it makes the audience

How characters are introducedThe main character was quietly introduced. He was shown as soon as the film opening started. The main character is presented to be a normal school boy who had just finished school. The antagonist was introduced when the main character was walking home. He was standing still on the pathway and he was shown from behind to create suspense to the audience.
