Conference Objectives1. Learn skills and take part in brand new experiences

that will enable participants to provide leadership in their Club and community for academic success, career preparation and community service projects and activities.

2. Demonstrate good character as participants promote the values of unity, freedom, justice, democracy and opportunity for all.

3. Develop an increased awareness and appreciation of diversity and the value of tolerance.

4. Establish positive relationships with Keystoners from throughout the U.S. and across the globe.

5. Engage in thought-provoking sessions and hands-on learning opportunities.

Preparing for the Conference• What Meals are Provided?

Appetizers will be served Thursday and Friday evening

•What forms you need to bring/send in:

•General Waiver- sent to [email protected] or faxed to 404-487-5840. Parental permission slip should be brought with you and held by the lead advisor.

•What to Wear?

•Weather-65-75 degree range is average for this time of year.

•The awards ceremony Saturday will be casual dress

•Overall conference: casual but appropriate (Example)

Getting to the Conference

•Travel from the Orlando International Airport to the Hotel

•Super Shuttle (800-410-4444) is $45 round trip per person

•Taxi runs around $45 one way

•Parking at the Hotel

•On-site parking is available for $9 per day, valet is $14 a day and busses or motor coaches are $25 a day.

Expectations of Advisors• The most important support an advisor

can offer is that of a positive role model

• Advisors must attend all sessions

• Make sure your Keystoners are prepared, participating and on time

• You are required to participate in hallway duty/safety

• Make sure your Keystoners know the expectations and abide by them

Expectations of Keystoners

• Must attend all sessions

• Co-ed visitation not allowed (unless meeting with advisor)

• Show respect and courtesy at all times

• Wear appropriate attire

• Listen and respect other advisors, presenters, staff, volunteers, etc.

• Cell phones, iPods, PDAs must be turned off while in sessions
