EXISTING PRODUCTFrom this image of ‘Angry Birds’ I can see that the lighting is very light in this game with pale colours creating the background and bright strong colours in the foreground. I would say that the main colour scheme is blues and greens this is the background and from this we can see that the background is out side, we cam also see shadows of what looks like trees, mountains in the background this also tells us that the game is outside. With the brightly coloured birds and pigs we can get a sense of happiness from this I would also say that they are using bright colours to represent the children that play this as children never have a dull moment playing on games. The fonts that they are using to show the ‘highscore’ and ‘score’ are in bubble lettering this aging could represent children as they are always bubbly when playing games. It will make the audience want to play/buy this product because it looks easy, simple and fun.

EXISTING PRODUCTFrom this image I can see that it is a children's game from the use of colours, bright blues, greens, reds, pinks, yellows from these bright colours the lighting is very bright just like the colours. Also from the way that the insect are presented you can tell that this game is for a child as they isn’t much detail so its easy for them to guess that insect it is. From the background you get a feel of fantasy this again links back to the idea of it been a game for a child as they have a wild imagination. The font at the top with the ‘time’ and ‘level’ is just plain lettering this may be so that the children can understand it better and read with out asking fro help. It will make the audience want to play/buy this game because its a fun way of learning your insects and numbers and time management all together.

Here is just a selection of app icons off the internet, I have got these as I am wanting to go on after making my game to making a app icon. Just from looking at the icon you can get a idea of what the app is to do with for example the one with a bird on top row in the middle you can see that this is going to be a game o do with birds. The one with a camera lenses and a flash you know this is going to be something to do with he camera and lenses.

RESEARCH ANALYSIS What common features do the researched products have? The common feature would have to be the colours and lighting used, in each of the products they all have bright colours and bright lighting. For the app icon I can see that its mainly one image and no words I will take this and work around it and try produce something alike.

What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?

The aspect of the research that I will include will be the lighting and the use of the colour schemes. I will add in a large image of one of the characters like some have done on he images I have looked at.
