• Advantages of working in this medium• Advantages include: • Its organised all your tools are there for you• Its easy to edit or Import images• Anybody can use it, its really easy to use.

Similarities: Both feature a good use of branding for Coca Cola, both target the same audience, Both don’t feature too much Coke, they don’t overwhelm the audience.

Differences: One is referencing futurama, the other is referencing a T-rex, the dinosaur could be perhaps referencing a younger target audience, The dinosaur looks more professional and has a cheeky witty slogan next to it, with a hashtag. My futurama one has more about it though and has a lot more detail than the dinosaur one, as that one only has a dinosaur and 4 other Coke products.

Graphic Design ProductionStrengths: The design and the layout of my product I think is really good. I also think that I haven’t over powered the branding of Coke and have used it a significant amount. I also think that my product appeals to all audiences and anyone ages would understand the futurama reference.

Weaknesses: I think the Coca Cola at the left hand side of the picture could be improved, by erasing the white rim on the outside. I also think perhaps the parachute could have been improved on the right hand side of the picture as a different font could of helped that stand out a bit more.

Changes: The font on the parachute could have improved to the Coca Cola font on dafont, as it would have looked more professional. Also I think I may have placed too many bottles in the picture which would be changed. Like mentioned above I would change the circle in the left hand corner of the screen, by polish of the white bit as it contradicts the blue background and looks like its not suppose to be there.

Radio Production

• Advantages of working in this medium• Advantages include:• You can use sound to get the message of your advert across instead of perhaps using text which may

disinterest some people.• Another advantage is that radio allows you to use your voice to make the advert more personal and makes

the person interact with his/hers audience a lot more.

• Disadvantages of working in this medium• Disadvantages include:• You can’t show any physical emotion in your advert radio only covers your voice.• Another disadvantage is that you may not be able to find the correct sounds or noises you want to use for

your advert, I know with our advert we definitely struggled with this point.

Radio Production

Our final product is a Halloween radio advert that has creepy, eerie sounds put into it and a voice recorded to say a witty chat line we came up with. The product is similar to other Halloween radio adverts but ours is a tad more scarier, other Halloween adverts on the market though have a lot more about them. By that I mean they have better effects and clearer music. Which for future reference would be a idea to put in.

Radio Production

Strengths: The strengths of our radio advert were we used a varied use of sound effects and sounds. Our theme was Halloween and I think we lived up to that theme as our advert was slightly creepy.

Weaknesses: The weaknesses of our radio advert were that we wanted one of the members in our group to speak but we lost the file of that member speaking therefore we lost the authenticity of our advert having to resort to a computer voice instead. We also should have been more organized as we lost a few sound clips and voices due to bad organization skills, which was very annoying.

Video Game Production

• Advantages of working in this medium• Advantages include:• You can easily manipulate the pixels and almost make anything you want.• Its easy to use and you can make some really cool pieces without little effort• Your product that you make looks realistic and could easily

• Disadvantages of working in this medium• Disadvantages include:• Sometimes you can’t always make the person you wan to make.• It is time consuming to create a adver-game.

Video Game Production

Similar things: Both feature the Coca Cola branding in the adverts, a coke bottle and both have a bright background.

Differences: My one is a lot less polished off than the one on the left, The one on the right has a lot more detail to it and looks more like a game, whilst mine could do with a bit more detail In it. The game on the right has a lot more sprites than my game does.

Page 12: 2. production techniques evaluation pro forma(1)-2

Video Game ProductionStrengths: I think the design of my product is good and the sprite models I have made are satisfactory. Also the animations I have added are a good addition to my game and make the game moreish to play.

Weaknesses: The areas where I think my design lacks is the game is very quick and repetitive. The sprites all look alike you wouldn’t be able to tell which drink is which if not knowing the colour of the branded drink. In the photo you can see a red circle saying the letters “coca cola winner” the font I have used for this should be better.

Changes I would make: Like mentioned above I would change the font as I believe that getting the coca cola font from dafont would have been more appropriate. I would also improve bits of my design as the background is a bit too similar to the hills in the picture. The sprites would also have more detail on them as mentioned above people may not be able to tell what drink that certain sprite is.

Comparison

• Which product do you believe advertises the product the best? Why?

• I think my Coca Cola poster advertises the product the best as it’s the best piece of work that I think I have produced throughout this course so far. It advertises the branding of coke best as the branding of Coke is clear and you can clearly see it’s a coke advertisement. It also doesn’t confuse you with other drinks like my adver-game does and doesn’t overwhelm you like my radio advert does.

• My poster is also the best that advertises Coke as it applies to all audiences and is by far, out of any of my other advertisements, designed the best.

• Which of your products is the most professional? Why?

• My poster is also probably my most professional because it looks like it could be a actual poster for Coca Cola. Its colourful, everybody will understand the futurama reference and there isn’t too much Coke in the poster, it isn’t overwhelmed by the brand. Its also the most professional because its not messy and it looks fun.
