A brief HistoryThe company was founded in 1967 by a French veterinary surgeon called Jean Cathary.

In 1980 they first introduced specific diets large puppy breeds and in 1997 they were the first to different nutritional needs for small, medium and large dog breeds.

In 1999, they created the first specific breed cat food “formulated for the unique dietary needs of Persians”.

This company produces dog and cat food which is tailored to each breed specification. (size,breed,etc…)

Sold to company called “Mars” in 2001 for 1.5 Billion euros.

Based in the U.S.
