The reason people support CrowdFunding campaigns is not only
to receive a product or service
Many are happy to participate in the creation of something
new and exciting
However people will also look at the rewards you have on offer and
consider their participation based on what the product or
service is worth
Rewards based websites will ask you to offer
something of similar value in return for the amount your supporter is prepared to give
All CrowdFunding websites will provide guidance
on what rewards you are allowed to give your supporters and what
would be prohibited
Your reward will be something that they have helped you create
and can include a
copy of something collaboration opportunity
creative experience memento
Prohibited rewards normally include
items not made by you contests discounts
financial incentives alcohol etc
Start off by offering multiple tiers of rewards
Separate the tiers with comfortable price margins
Try not to offer two tiers at similar price levels
Start off with five different reward levels
You need to state if there is a limited number of rewards for each level and
by when they will be delivered
Try offering unique rewards at the higher pledge levels
Many supporters are looking for experiences they cannot get
anywhere else
Do not ignore offering a reward at a lower level of $10 and under
Supporters at this level are valuable as you get their email addresses
At some point in the future they could become your biggest fans!
CrowdFunding websites will not allow you to change your rewards once a
supporter has bought one
You can however add more later as the campaign gets underway as
an additional incentive
The best way to get reward ideas is to visit successful campaigns on different
CrowdFunding websites
Search in categories closest to your own and you will find a never ending
supply of suggestions
