R egardless, everyone has had a good day and a bad day when it comes to dealing with the dreaded issues of credit. Some of us are savvy shoppers while others are just shop-a holics and spend every dime we can get our hands on. Corey P. Smith is convinced that Credit is a Con- spiracy that has all of us doomed because within it’s realm are sacrifices that our gov- ernment, politicians, past and present want everyone to believe are not serious matters at all. Smith on the other hand delivers a very convincing read that compels the American tax-paying citizen to make yet another analysis, “this credit thing is real, and it’s being used to keep us, the American public down. I’m convinced Credit is for poor people”. In his day, even Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States had something to say- “Some of the biggest men in the US, in the field of commerce and manufacturing are afraid of some- body, are afraid of something, they know that there is a power some- where so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so com- plete, so pervasive that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”- and Corey P. Smith contin- ues this sentiment on the spine of his latest book, “e Conspiracy of Credit”. “My main goal with this book is to teach poor people how to leverage credit”, explains Smith. “How to use credit to their advan- tage. I’ve always been the believer that you can borrow a million dollars before you can earn a mil- lion dollars, and because of that analogy we have so many people in this country in debt”. And sneaking a peak at various chap- ters throughout the book it’s easy to see that we as consumers are in deep trouble. In Smith’s quest to not only investigate the debt crisis, but to publish his findings he stumbled across a few things that had government officials literally knocking down his door. “I’ve had run in’s with the credit bureaus”, he continues. “Aſter the release of my first book, “How To Outsmart e Credit Bureaus”, I was attacked by the FBI, e Postal Inspector, e Secret Service (who showed up on my door steps), and all because of a book. eir intent was to frighten me, but with all that attention they let me know that I had something. at made me even hungrier to explore this and find out all I could about credit. Inside book number two, “Conspiracy of Credit”, Smith indulged that curiosity with a vengeance as he dove into explanations of how to rid your credit history of tax liens, Bankruptcies, and other financial matters that tend to keep us down. “Any- time there is a person trying to do something for the over all good of the people, they are automatically considered a threat to corporations, politi- cians because it could start messing with their money”, Smith Continues. “e major- ity of people would rather be entertained than educated. And sneaking a peak at various chap-ters throughout the book it’s easy to see that we as consumers are in deep trouble. In Smith’s quest to not only investigate the debt crisis, but to publish his findings he stumbled across a few things that had government officials literally knocking down his door.

“I’ve had run in’s with the credit bureaus”, he continues. “After the release of my first book, “How To

Outsmart The Credit Bureaus”, I was attacked by the FBI, The Postal Inspector, The Secret Service (who showed up on my door steps), and all because of a book. Their intent was to frighten me, but with all that attention they let me know that I had something. That made me even hungrier to explore this and find out all I could about credit. of three girls. He began his quest to educate America and the world about credit 13 years ago as he and family found themselves in a predicament that nearly ended their lives. “I found myself sleeping on the floor of an empty apartment”, shares Smith. “ My wife, myself and the baby were all in the dark, with no lights, and just broke. All of a sudden it hit me at 2am one morning, I woke my wife and said, the only way for us to truly fix this situation is that I’m going to have to fix our name. That’s when I started to research and learn about credit. That took me on a path where I started to discover more things about how to leverage debt. I found out many ways of removing things from public records, like bankruptcies, property liens, bad debts, through uncon-ventional techniques. Debt became more of a lifestyle for me, and therefore to fix it I’ve been working hard at changing it every since”.

In Smith’s quest to become known for his strategies in correcting credit issues, he’s been blessed to aid underwriters, realtors and even friends in their attempts

to gain and leverage credit. He’s even lectured a time or two and is currently credited as author and a Credit Aware-ness Expert. “ I don’t just write this stuff and talk about it, but I can prove that what I write about works”, continues Smith. “ I took two homeless guys who had nothing and I raised their credit scores to 720 plus. That was four years ago and they have businesses and still doing fine. In my first meeting with the Postal Inspector he told me that I was undermining the financial system in this country. I watch the so-called guru’s of credit who have tv shows like Dave Ramsey and Suzy Orman, and I just shake my head. They give people basic information that may or may not work. Everything that I write I am a living wit-ness that it works. I do it everyday”.

Soon Smith will embark upon his idea to deliver his third book and documen-tary, “ Credit Is For Poor People”. When I wrote my first book, I was angry, “ says Smith in closing. “Whether it was a right or wrong way to fix credit, I wrote my opinion. In the second book, I have

more of a story to tell. I give a blue print and show the connection between politics, education, religion and credit. I show people how all of these things are con-nected. It’s not just a credit repair book. Life and it’s experiences prepared me to write this book. In book number three, in my opinion credit is truly for poor people. I believe that credit was created to keep people in a particular social and economic bondage. Think about it, if you have five million dollars in the bank, you have no need for credit, and it’s very expensive to be poor in the United States. I have a passion for people and I’ve found myself trying to provide real information to help people as it relates to credit and their future”.
