in 10 months!I lost 10 stone

By Angela Chouaib, 34, from Rochester
Mummy, we’re going to fly!’ Alia, 3, squealed as we queued for the fairground
bungee trampoline. ‘We are!’ I grinned. Er – no, we weren’t… ‘You’re too fat,’ the
attendant sneered. ‘You’ll break it.’
Mortifying.I grabbed Alia’s
hand and fled.‘Don’t worry, let’s do the
rollercoaster instead,’ I said. But it was the same there… ‘You’ll have to
get off!’ I was told when the safety bar wouldn’t lock.
I wanted to cry… ‘Let’s eat!’ I said to
But then I looked like I was wearing a deflated fat-suit!
Years ago, I was slim and
fun-loving!
my hubby Pedro, 32. Only food could comfort me now.
I was 28, had met sexy Pedro while working as a holiday rep in Crete four years before.
Back then I’d been slim, fun-loving, sexy.
But, since having Alia in March 2001, I’d ballooned to 15st – and I was only 5ft 3in.
When our son Malik arrived in October 2005, my weight soared to 19st 10lb.
‘I think you’re gorgeous,’
Pedro would always tell me.What? I was fat, ugly, useless! And those cruel fairground
comments had really hurt. ‘I can’t go on like this!’ I wept. So my GP put me down for
a gastric bypass. Meanwhile, I scoffed cheesy
pasta, mountains of meatballs.Until I got a date for my
operation – 6 January 2009.Now I had a strict, pre-op diet.Hell! But worth it, because
after the op, I lost 3st in a month. And after 10 months, I’d lost 10st!
But rolls of loose skin hung from my arms and thighs.
My 42GG boobs were 34FF empty sacks and I had to tuck my belly skin into my knickers!
I felt like I was wearing a deflated fat-suit – so feeling depressed, I went to the GP.
He approved me for a NHS tummy tuck and breast uplift.
‘But the waiting list is two years,’ the doctor warned me.
To go private would cost an eye-watering £20,000!
So, online, I found a clinic in Wroclaw, Poland, where the op would be just £3,000.
I flew out for surgery in November 2009.
And woke up in heaven! My waist was firm and
slim, my boobs a pert 34D. To celebrate my new look,
Pedro and I went to Venice for our 10th anniversary.
We were just like young lovers all over again!
Then it hit me. Could I give other people their lives back? Just like I’d got mine.
So last November I started Secret Surgery (www.secret surgery.co.uk), a business arranging holidays including plastic surgery and high-tech aftercare in clinics abroad.
Now, I’d like to thank the staff at that fair. Their cruel comments changed my life.
Fair play to them!
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) is an operation to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen.A breast uplift (mastopexy) changes breast shape by taking away sections of redundant skin.
