The artifact collection containsan eight silver plated piece tea
set. There are a coffee pot,two tea pots, a creamer, sugar
bowl and finger bowl. Also,included are two trays. Thelarger one is for the tea setproper while the other is for
serving food. All the pieces areintricately etched with floralpatterns which frame the
lettering 1860 B 1885. Thereis a framed portrait of
Blakeslee as well as a framedgenealogical tree that includesphotographs of various family
members.

gold decoration on the rim aswell.
The bottom has themanufactures mark. The outer

The bottom bears the RoyalWinton mark in script coupled

stamp was first used in 1964.

sugar bowl and creamerpitcher.
All four pieces are decorated inblue delf color. The teapot hasthe standard Wesley prayers

teapot, creamer and sugarbowl.
On the bottom of the teapothas the Wedgwood mark along
with the Duffee and StrattonImporters mark. Above themark there is an inscriptionwhich states, “Replica of theWesley-Wedgwood Teapot.

A carved walking stick witha bust of Wesley on top of his
London Chapel with a dateinscribed “1792". The date isnot a reflection of its creation. The bottom of the stick has aknobby relief as if mimicking atree trunk with the branches
cut off. The foot cap is missingon the bottom. The stick ismade from pine with a dark
color stain cover. Thedimensions are 31" long x 1.5 “
wide x 2" high.
The cane originallybelonged to Robert M. Pope
(1846-1911), CanadianMethodist Minister. Pope was
born September 1846, inKingston, Ontario. His ministry
began in 1868 with anappointment to the InveraryCircuit. He graduated fromAlbert College and was sentwest as the denominationalcustom dictated in that time
period. After serving a numberchurches, Pope tried to retire in1895 but was shortly thereaftercalled back into active ministryuntil 1905. Pope died in Marchof 1911 at Belleville, Ontario.

A two-handle ceramic ware,possibly a cup or sugar bowl,created to celebrate the fiftiethanniversary of British MethodistUnion in 1932. The artifact hasan image of John Wesley onhorseback, framed by a wreathmotif, with an inscriptionunderneath stating, The Worldis My Parish. On the reverseside is the inscription, “ToCommemorate the GoldenJubilee of Methodist Union1932-1982. This, too, keepsthe same wreath motif of theWesley image. Both wreathsare bordered by four verticalcorners of the same floraldesign. The bottom of theartifact has the inscription, Alanand Roberta Scott whichcontinues underneath withGnosall Methodist ChurchStafford. The artifact is alimited production run with thisone being one of threehundred. The dimensions are3.5 inches tall and 6 incheswide including both handles.

Decoration which hangs onthe handle of a wooden closetwhere individuals store theirbed rolls. Another use is for
costume decoration. Such arethe artifacts kept here. In
specific incidents a variation ofthis type of decoration is wornby women if they have been
sexually harassed or abused. In those cases this specific
type of No-ri-ges also containssmall dagger which is used to
commit suicide.
One is blue and one is red. Both are tasseled No-ri-ges
with the same butterfly motif.
