1) Millennium Park
• Here you can visit the cloud gate, the fountain, or the ice skating rink in the winter.
2) Navy Pier
• At Navy Pier, you can enjoy a variety of shops and restaurants, take ride on the Ferris wheel, see a great view of the city, and visit Chicago Children’s Museum.
3) Water Tower Place
• Chicago is known for great shopping. Our favorite stop on the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue) is Water Tower Place-an indoor shopping mall.
4) Willis/Sears Tower
• The Sears Tower was recently renamed and is now called the Willis Tower. It is 110 stories high. You can visit the Sky deck and walk out onto ‘The Ledge’ a new glass box that allows you to look straight down at the street.
5) Lake Michigan
• Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes and borders Chicago to the east.
• In the summer, you can go swimming, ride bikes along the lakefront path, or have a picnic in one of the lakefront parks.
Visitor Advice
• In the winter, remember to pack your warm clothes. The wind off the lake can be very chilly.
• In the summer, remember to pack your shorts, t-shirts, and swimsuit.
• If you are flying into Chicago, you have two airports to choose from. Both are about the same distance from downtown: Chicago Midway and O'Hare International Airport
