Chuck it together tomato base for pizza

Equipment: Saucepan Wooden spoon Chopping board Container for freezing

Ingredients: Tomatoes Garlic Herbs Onion Salt

What to do:

• Collect fresh extra tomatoes and wash. Cut off any yucky bits.

• Put in saucepan with a little olive oil, a couple of cloves of garlic and finely chopped onion and a pinch of salt.

• Cook over a low-medium heat, stirring occasionally so it doesn’t stick to bottom of pan.

• Any seasonal herbs of preference can also be added • Cook until very soft and still a bit chunky and liquid

has evaporated. This could take half an hour or so.

• Freeze in suitable container for when you want to pull out for home made pizzas
