Between February 25th andFebruary 28 there was a spill ofapproximately 100,000 gallonso f un t rea ted domes t i cwastewater at the Karnes CityWastewater Treatment facilityon East Main Street. The entirewastewater spill was containedion side the facility. The causeof the spill was a lift stationfailed and the overflow from thatpiece of equipment allowed ap-proximately 100,000 gallons ofuntreated domestic wastewaterto collect in a dry pond adjacentto the lift station.
