Recently an OUUF member found that QFC was offering free cholesterol checks but it was not well publicized. While this check was for a limited time, many other local pharmacies offer wellness checks as well as other screenings and inoculations
during the year. If you know of a pharmacy offering these services, let us know and the information can be posted on the community bulletin board at the Fellowship. Contact: Elinor Tennyson at mailto:[email protected]
The Tim Tebow Foundation in conjunction with Clallam Mosaic, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering those in our area with Special Needs is sponsoring "A Night to Shine" at the Roosevelt Elementary School (106 Monroe Ave.) in Port Angeles on Saturday, March 23rd from 3-6PM. The purpose is to recognize those with different abilities with the activities of dinner,
dance, and entertainment. It is a gala evening with our friends and neighbors treated to a Prom Night atmosphere with the assistance of volunteers who make this happen. To volunteer to be of service, please call Clallam Mosaic at 360-681-8642, or email: mailto:[email protected].
Pastoral Care... As the newly appointed Pastoral Care Team Leader, I would like to assemble the team for orientation and renewal of objectives and goals. Please email me: mailto:[email protected] at your earliest convenience. I would like to know who is still interested in this service, and who can or cannot be reached via emails.
RESCHEDULED: On Sunday, April 14th, at 4pm, Joel Yelland, baritone, will present "A Celebration of Russian Song", a recital of songs in Russian with English supertitles, accompanied by Linda Dowdell, piano. The first half will be classical opera arias and art songs, and the second half will be folk music. For the second half, Joel and Linda will be joined by Claire Martin on violin and Maryann Tapiro on cello. The concert will take place at Olympic UU Fellowship, 1033 N Barr Road between PA and Sequim. A reception with Russian food will follow the
performance.
We're starting the March/April round of 7@7 dinners. If you wish to participate contact Walt Johnson at coffee hour or email him at mailto:[email protected]
REMINDER: It is very important and necessary to lock the building if you are the last to leave. This past Monday morning the building was found to have been left unsecured and it is assumed the last person to leave Sunday didn't lock up. If you have any problem locking up, call the church number which is posted by the key lock box. Thank you, Elinor Tennyson
Do you have a service to offer, an item to sell, give away, or looking for something? Feel free to post a message on the OUUF Member and Community bulletin board. The board is located on the wall to the right as you enter the sanctuary and all postings are subject to management review. If you have any questions, see Elinor Tennyson.

Social Justice
VisionWe envision ourselves as a diverse and spiritually grounded organization that empowers people to work towards a just world in which all people thrive. Our vision is inspired by our commitment to each other and to the interdependent web of life of which we are all a part.
MissionWe strive to inspire, educate, empower, and nurture the capacity of Unitarian Universalists (UUs), as well as our community allies, to collaboratively advocate for and undertake social and environmental justice initiatives. We support legislative change that aligns with our UU values in Washington state and beyond.
CovenantIn affirming our adherence to our UU Principles and our connection and dedication to each other and to the world around us, we commit ourselves as individuals and as an organization to the intersecting responsibilities of caring for the Earth and seeking justice and equity for all. We commit ourselves with an awareness of how the abuses of all forms of creation inevitably cause suffering to human communities and the natural world. We commit ourselves with an awareness of how systems of oppression based on factors such as race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability/disability, class, and global inequality inevitably cause some members of our human family to suffer more than others, both historically and today. We commit ourselves to dismantling institutional and systemic oppression. We commit ourselves with an urgent sense of calling. Through our commitment, perseverance, and the transformational power of courage, compassion, and love, we commit to the healing of trauma; creating just ways of being together; and restoring, protecting, and preserving the rights and dignity of all people as well as the balance of the natural world.
Principles of Unitarian Universalism
Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote the following Principles. The inherent worth and dignity of every personJustice, equity and compassion in human relationsAcceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregationsA free and responsible search for truth and meaningThe right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at largeThe goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for allRespect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
