I would like to thank everyone who participated in the tool swap. We had seven people who brought tools needing a new
home. Most of the stuff brought were clamps, planes, and other variety of hand tools and hardware. We would like to
make this a yearly event and attract some larger items to the table.

Oak desk is sold !!!!
The club was notified late last month that someone was inter-
ested in purchasing the oak desk. The officers are reviewing ma-
terial costs in order to determine a fair asking price.
A pair of desks were made as part of the club’s Collaboration
Project two years ago. One was oak and the other walnut. The
oak desk had a roll top enclosure. The walnut one had a flat top.
The walnut desk sold at auction last Christmas.
The officers have started discussing a project for this year.
Around the Guild—Peter Leaven’s shop
This wine rack is going in a side table/wine cabinet Peter is building for his
daughter. He copied the dimensions from a larger wine rack bought sev-
eral years ago for a cabinet located in his basement. It is made of red-
wood which he scavenged 30 years ago from a boutique closing in New-
ark. It is currently unfinished (the cabinet will be finished in poly.)

McKean High School in the old woodworking room. The meetings are informal. People bring and work on their
projects at the meetings. Experienced woodcarvers are available to help you master the art of woodcarving. If you
would like to add a new dimension to your wood working skills, come and check this club out. For additional infor-
