How a native of Shreveport,Lousiana met a Durham girland after a hurried courtshipmarried her, is, a heartwarm-ing love story within itself;but, to meet the Boxleys 27years later and hear them re-call all those years of together-ness is a vivid American story

of two people in love and de-termined to remain together

therefore, you're not surprisedthat the Porter House steaksare grilled to perfection, the

until death do we part.Mr. and Mrs. Ed Boxley ce-

lebrated their 27th WeddingAnniversary, Friday evening,December 10th. An unpretent-ious, informal, unherald oc-casion was what mama andpapa Boxley wanted. Theywanted most of all to be alone

with their memories of twenty-seven years of marital bliss.

The dining table gleamedwith china and silverware with

a centerpiece of dainty Sweet-

heart roses to soften the severi-.. V >

ty of precision set table; and

candles in slightly tarnishedsilver holders-a wedding giftfrom relatives in Shreveport,

Louisana-added a shimmeringglow to the perfect setting.

The outlay for the occasion

immediately alerted you that

something very special was

about to unfold. And so, you

ful; fluffy, creamed potatoes,Southern style string beans-

clover leaf roll with butter-

hot coffee, and papa's favoritedessert-spicy potato custardwith whip topping.

The bride wore an after "5"dress of pink and white and, acorsage of white orchids tied

with pink ribbon.Mr. Boxley was immaculate-

ly attired in a Navy Blue busi-

ness suit and smiling like aschool boy on his first date.During the evening papa washeard to say over and over;"mama grows sweeter as theyears come and go." Andmama kept saying, "hush, papa!"

A well spent evening cameto a close with traditional con-gratulations to the groom andbest wishes to the bride.
