Biodiversity
• River existing is not maintained by residents• All water from drainages will discharge into
river nearby • The bushes and other living things are growing
around area of river
Air quality
• According to Air Pollution Index Management System (APIMS) DOE, index in my hometown is around 47-49 for whole day
• Therefore the status is in good condition• Every year the index is not change very far
Waste and recycling
• All the waste produce by residential such as bottles, papers and plastics will send to the special place where collect all the wastes
• Each waste will be weighted and they get points in form of money according to types of waste and its weight
• The worker will collect all the wastes and separate to its type before send to recycle center
Eco footprint
• The population is around 300,000 thus eco footprint is low where all earth’s resources uses by consumers is less
• Impact on environment from services, housing, transport and consumables is not effect at all because of population
Transportation
• Public transportation widely used is bus where easily used by people there
• Facility of bustop is also provided every 1km• Kapar has good transportation network
connecting to Kuala Lumpur city via Federal/state roads including Toll Highways
• All roads in Kapar town centre will be strategically connected to Coastal Highway and Kapar By Pass with multiple entry and exit points
Education
• Provided education from kindergarten until secondary school
• The location between primary school and secondary school is not far away
• Choices of schools are given to students where located near their house or provided with hostels
• For primary school, its included sekolah kebangsaan and sekolah jenis kebangsaaan for Tamil school and Chinese school
Health and healthcare
• Beside government clinic which is Klinik Kesihatan is provided, there also private clinics are opened in my area
• Private clinics are more focused to types of treatment such as Dental Clinic, Veterinar Clinic and others like Klinik Puteri, Klinik Najihah
Green space
• Eventhough Kapar town are fulled with 360 units of shop offices, its only at the center
• After through the center, it was green with oilpalm plantation
• The area of plantation is maintained without any cutting trees activities
Climate change
• Pollution problem is not the major issue in my hometown thus it did not effect the climate change
• Besides with plantation and reduce of emissions from vehicles, it can save our environment
Food
• Since consists of multi racial are living, restaurant with Malay, Chinese and Indian foods are opened
• Fast food restaurant like Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut are opened for residentials
• Stalls at night is opened every Friday night that full with many varieties of foods
Economic base
• Commercial center in Kapar town are well served by banks, various business such as electrical shops, clothes shops, hardware shops and restaurants
• Also many of factories are operating in Kapar district
• Included with plantation operates
Employment
• Most of residential are worked by themselves with 360 shop offices are rent to public
• Beside business is done in town centre, farmers are work at oilpalm plantation
• Others are worked outside Kapar town such at Subang Jaya, Kelana Jaya which is in 40 minutes from Kapar town
• Percentage of working age population is increased every year
