LIFE IS HARD, BUT HAVE NO FEAR
Today's readings take a fearless look at reality and reach a conclusion that we all know: life is hard. The prophet Malachi preaches fire and brimstone, warning us that evildoers will perish in flames. Saint Paul offers his own warning to the Thessalonians: keep busy, but never become a busybody. He reminds Christians that the apostles themselves worked in toil and drudgery as a model for how we ought to contribute to our community. The Gospel returns to the apocalyptic tone of Malachi, describing the utter chaos of the end-times. We will know the end is near when violence, catastrophe, and hatred dominate the earth. But we must not fear! God's saving plan brings peace to our hearts. Malachi speaks of the sun's healing rays, and Jesus himself promises to protect every hair on our heads. Copyright (c) J. S. LA VIDA ES DURA, PERO NO TENEMOS MIEDO
Copyright (c) J. S. Paluch Co.

Our Welcome Ministries This ministry includes: Greeters, Hospitality, Welcome Ministry, & Ushers. The Greeters welcome parishioners as they arrive for Mass and provide a positive first impression. The Hospitality ministry creates and fosters fellowship in our parish by serving coffee & doughnuts after the Sunday 8:30am & 10:30am Masses. The Welcome Ministry works with newly-registered families to offer information about the ministries and services in our community. The Ushers are entrusted with the responsibility of the weekend collections, assisting persons in finding an available seat at Mass, and in selecting a family to bring up the Offering of bread and wine.
The Dust Angels This ministry is made up of a group of women and men who come together after the Friday morning 8:00 a.m. Mass to tidy our church. Their tasks are usually completed within an hour. Once a month they meet as a group to bring up
any problems, socialize, and pray together. This ministry keeps clean the house of the Lord so that all may see the beauty of His Church.
The Liturgy is known as the "source and summit" of our faith. We also often think of the Liturgy as a symphony, many pieces working together to create something of beauty. The more you immerse yourself in the Liturgy,
the more you fall in love with the liturgy. It is always a great time to get more involved with the Liturgy.

The Solemnity of our Lord Jesus Christ the King indicates the end of the liturgical year. The Kingdom of Christ does not belong to this world; even if the Lord said that his kingdom is among us. The Gospel of the first Sunday of Advent will clarify about the end of the world, about the second coming of Christ and his advent in the glory. The Church, because of her wisdom, proclaims that Jesus is really the Lord of the time and the eternity. The Liturgical year helps us on our path to salvation showing that life has a meaning, a future: being with God.
The Feast of Christ the King Benediction & Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
You are invited to spend an hour with our Lord in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, in giving thanks for this year, in the joyful wait of
Advent, in the contemplation of the mystery of “God-with-us”, in faithfulness of his mercy that opens the door of the world that comes.
Sunday, November 24, 2019 From 3:00pm - 4:00pm In St. Anne’s Church
