The CARICOM single market and economy is a legal mechanism which allows goods, services and people to move freely among member states. This means that all member states are legally bound to adhere to the rules of the CSME.
The CSME is expected to:
a. Provide the opportunities for businesses to set up in any member country. This is expected to benefit both the business and the residents
b. Facilitate the use of the skills and knowledge of the people of the region anywhere in the region
c. Strengthen the bargaining power of the countries when dealing with other countries
