q IMS is a great opportunity to the telecom industryn It can bring new business models to the whole members of
the telecom industry especially in the multimedia and convergence area
n It can bring cost(CAPEX/OPEX) reduction and revenue increase technically
q At the same time, it can also bring a new threat n Legacy communication services(voice,messaging) which
have been cash-cow can be overlapped and carnivalized
n Traditional value chain in the telecommunication industry is to be destroyed in appearance of Internet and IT-based new-commers
n We have to consider new strategy of partnership with various players (Operator,TEM,Solution vendor,IT vendor, 3rd party SP,Handset vendor,etc)
