What’s going on now?• Constructing Phase 2 between
Jung Station Road and east of Jungermann Road: $19.7 million
• Crews have built new north and south outer roads (one-way)
• Built two-way bypass to construct Harvester Road bridge
• Bridge completed later this fall
• Originally scheduled to open winter-spring 2010
What’s on the horizon?
• Economic stimulus project completes Route 364 from Jungermann to west of Central School Road: about $44 million
• Work starts in October – completed by 2012
• Crews will construct outer roads, then Route 364
• Traffic flow may postpone reopening of Route 364 by Harvester Road
What’s in the future?
• MoDOT and St. Charles County are working on an agreement to finish Phase 2 between Central School Road and Mid Rivers Mall Drive.
• MoDOT is expecting to start preliminary bridge or outer road work near Mid Rivers Mall Drive in 2010
• Currently, it will cost about $40 million to complete the rest of Phase 2.
What about Phase 3?• Phase 3 runs between Mid Rivers Mall
Drive and Route 40/Route N
• No money is available for Phase 3 yet
• Estimated costs to complete Phase 3: $140 million
• Legislature has authorized MoDOT to use design-build on Route 364 project – if used, must start design-build by 2013
• May consider construction in two financially manageable segments – Mid Rivers to K, K to Route 40
