McKibbin ofHoward street, Patchogue, becamethe bride of William HuntingtonPorter, son of Mrs. Phyllis Porterof Manhasset. The Rev. Gerald E.Boyce performed the impressiveceremony in the Congregationalchurch, Patchogue.

Escorted by her father, the bridewore a gown of white chiffon velvet.Her three-quarter length veil washeld in place 'by a white velvet hel-met headpiece. She carried a muff ofwhite velvet with a white orchid.

Miss Myrtle Gilmore of Patchoguewas maid-of-honor. She was dressedin a Dubonnet velvet gown with amatching helmet headpiece and car-ried a muff of Dubonnet velvet withwhite roses.

Miss Diane Perry, 9 years old, andMiss Judith Gilmore, who is 10,were the junior bridesmaids. Theywore gowns of blue velvet withheadpieces of white roses, and car-ried muffs of blue velvet on whichwere white roses.

Mahlon Fechter of Blue Point wasbest man. The ushers were ThomasKnapp and Donald Porter, both ofBlue Point.

The church was decorated inwhite snapdragons. Miss GeraldineMacDonald of Center Moriches andJack Garhardt of Bayport were thesoloists. Miss MacDonald sang, "OPerfect Love," and S c h ii b e r t's"Serenade." Mr. Garhardt sang, "Be-cause." Miss Edna Jackson, organ-ist, played the wedding marches andaccompanied the soloists.

A reception followed at the CanaanLake Country club.

After a wedding trip through up-state New York, Mr. and Mrs. Por-ter will live in Brooklyn.

The bride's traveling costume wasa golden beige suit with black ac-cessories and a white orchid corsage.. Mrs. Porter was graduated fromPatchogue High school and was em-ployed at Sears Roebuck and com-pany, Patchogue.

Her husband -is a graduate of Bay-port High school and attended Dart-mouth college. He is associated withParsons Refectory c o m p a n y inBrooklyn. Mr. Porter sei-ved for fouryears in the Merchant Marine dur-ing World War II.

IV2 pounds chopped beef1 medium sized onion1 green pepper, choppeda little celerypotatoes

Brown the onion in a skillet, addthe chopped beef, brown well , addthe green pepper and celery, saltand pepper, cover with cold waterand cook afoout 20 minutes. Pre-pare the required amount of po-tatoes for your family and boil insalted water, drain and mash, add1 beaten egg and milk to make pota-toes quite creamy. Thicken the meatmixture with a little flour and waterand put in a casserole, with potatoeson top, leaving a small hole in cen-ter to allow the steam to escape. Bakein a medium hot oven until top isbrown.
