100 300MW class coal-fired power plants. (20% of coal-fired power plants.)(1) 75% are made of China.(2) Low thermal efficiency and fall short of de
signed performance.(3) Reliability of plant facilities are low.

CO2 Emission Reduction Effect(1)
Project plan was suggested. Implementation of upgrading 10 300MW made-in-China
power units by the year 2010. The CO2 reduction effect and cost-
effectiveness of the project has been examined.

Technical Findings
Many promising projects for AIJAIJ,CDMCDM schemes in RussiaRussia and ChinaChina.
Thermal Efficiency upgrading achieve not only CO2 reduction but also produce another benefit (reduction of other pollutants and fuel consumption etc).
To move next stage, further detailed study is needed.
