Reaching for the STARS
VISD’s
experience this
year has
consisted of
maintaining
resiliency in
times of
legislative
uncertainty,
adhering to
new statewide testing procedures and
policies, and working together as a team. As
educators, our staff members realize they are
not alone because districts throughout the
state and nation are collectively facing the
same issues. VVISD employees seek to not
look to their own interests but each to the
interests of others. We serve our students,
parents, and community members with
diligence. Our mission at VVISD, as we
begin planning for the next school year, is to
continue reaching for the stars while helping
our students shine and prepare for their
future pathways. Christie Dement
