End user driven requirements
“Why do I have another number for my broadband phone?”
“I don’t know which phone to use to get the best calls costs!”
“When I call a friend on his mobile from my broadband phone he does not know it is me calling!”
“Why don’t I have the same terms and conditions on my broadband and old telephone service?”
“I want control of the features I get from my provider!”

Voice Extension Path - What is an EP?
•A voice EP routes voice traffic from SBC located in a POSI to the MSIL
•CP can have multiple Voice EPs connected to the MSIL
•Configuration of two separate VLANs for
- Voice Media (10 to 800 Mbps)
- Voice Signalling (1 to 50 Mbps)
•Logical Connection CCC will be used for managing signalling and media VLANs

Voice EP: Scenarios designed so far– Support via eportal for Day 1 only
Voice EP provide
• Allows the CP to place a voice EP provide order
• BTW will validate bandwidth ordered against the available MSIL bandwidth
• CAC will be configured on SBC
Cancel Voice EP provide
• CPs can cancel Voice EP provide up to Point of No Return
• PONR is established as part of Voice EP provide (will be before activate)
Voice EP cease
• CP can cease Voice EP
• Voice EP cease order will be rejected if it is being used by Voice Route
www.btwholesale.com/broadband Slide 14
•The Voice Route product enables CPs to configure preferred domain name and private ID that are later used for end user provisions within serving exchange
•The CP has to place different service Voice Route orders for each combination of domain name + private ID + Serving exchange
•Voice Route mandates CPs to specify primary and secondary voice EPs to be used
•CPs need to order Voice EPs before placing orders for Voice Route
Voice Route – What is it?
www.btwholesale.com/broadband Slide 15
Integrated Voice End User Access – What is it?
•IVEUA is the WBCC end user product
•This is combined voice and broadband service provided on same access consumed from Openreach
•Voice call control is managed by CP’s call/apps server(s)
•Supports broadband service as per WBC
•Involves configuration of AGCF for delivering voice media and signalling to CP
