Republic Day Celebrations
Republic day was celebrated jointly[Primary and High school] on 26th January 2017 in the high school
premises. The chief guest of the day was Wg. Cdr. A.K.S Bishnoi (Retd)
There was a spectacular show put up by the students of primary and high school like colourful displays,
patriotic songs and speeches.
The Chief Guest appreciated the various shows put up by the students. He told about the great work done by our
Defence forces and inspired the children.

Edu vision - 2016-17, our Annual exhibition was held on 10th December. Dr. Suresh Babu Kalidindi Asst.
Professor, Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research was the Chief Guest and he inaugurated the exhibition.
Imagination, creativity, handmade models, puzzles, games, significance of numbers, interesting experiments ,
environment, terrace farming, animal care, grammar at a glance, architectural wonders , defence forces, Indian
culture, Space and Mysteries were the few highlights of the day.

Hindi Diwas Celebrations
Hindi Diwas was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal. The theme for the year 2016-17 was "Hariyali Se
Khushali".
Environmentalist Saalumarada Thimmakka was the Chief Guest. Her Selfless and magnificent service in
preserving and protecting the environment is a role model to all of us. She lit the light of greenery in all the little
hearts by planting a sapling in the school premises. Tulsi plant was distributed to all the members of the faculty
as a blessing. The children put a great show through their songs, dance and drama. The entire school premises
became colourful with the innumerable display of their work. Children promised the Chief Guest to plant a
sapling on their birthdays.
The Hindi Diwas conveyed a meaningful message, "Gift a tree, it is a gift from generation to generation with a
package of good health and prosperity", to the future citizens of India.
Teachers' Day Celebrations
Teachers are the real motivators for the Students. They play a vital role in shaping the destiny of a child.
Teachers' day was celebrated with great spirit and enthusiasm by the students. It was a day to remember our
great teacher Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who had inspired many students and teachers to a great extent. Children
began the programme with an invocation song highlighting the value of teachers and their service for the
society. It was followed by few dance performances which enthralled the gathering. They conducted games for
the teachers and kindled their sportive spirit.
Children wished all the teachers with a smile on their bright face and gratitude in their hearts….
All the teachers enjoyed the performances given by the students and thanked the students for making the day a
special and memorable one.
Parent Interaction Programme
Parent Interaction Programme was held on 10th Sept. 2016 for VI standard. Resource Person Smt. Lalitha
Appachu conducted the workshop on the topic "Technology and your child's future". Parents were benefitted
and got their doubts cleared.
Onam Celebrations
Onam festival was celebrated in the school with a floral rangoli done by the teachers.
70th Independence Day
The 70th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour. The Chief Guest was Cdr. Surendar
Kumar Pande (Retd.). The function commenced with a guard of honour. This was followed by the unfurling of
the Tricolour flag, singing of the National Anthem and the March-Past by the four houses. The highlight of the
function was a dance by tiny tots from class I-IV. Students of VII gave Speeches in Kannada and English,
which kindled our patriotism and reminded our unsung heroes. The chief guest gave an inspiring speech and
insisted on Indian culture. Children sang a patriotic song, which depicted the hardship faced by our soldiers in
difficult terrain. The song enthralled the audience. Students, the future citizens of our nation took an Oath to
serve the country.

'IGNITE ' – An Innovative Technological Ideas
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Foundation had organized 'IGNITE' a competition where the Innovative Technological
Ideas were invited from school children up to class XII.
Our School Children actively took part in this, more than 20 entries were sent to the competition. Results are yet
to be announced by 15th October, on the birthday of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
'The science of today is the technology of tomorrow'.
Every Friday, students of V - VII get a platform to conduct simple experiments after the morning assembly.
Parent Interaction Programme for Class V
Parent Interaction Programme was held on 27th August 2016 for V standard. Resource Person Smt. Usha
Madan conducted the workshop on the topic "Raising Respectful and Responsible Children". Enthusiastic
parents interacted with the resource person and made the session more interactive.

Parent Interaction Programme was held on 6th August 2016 for IV standard. Resource Person Smt. Meena
Kumari E. conducted the workshop on the topic "Identifying your child's learning skill". It was very informative
and interesting.

Students of class I - VII underwent a general Health check up by Dr. K.S. Mohana Rao. B.Sc. MBBS.

Resource Person Smt. Meena Kumari E. conducted the workshop on the topic "Fear of spoiling children". It
was very informative and interesting.
Founder's Day Celebrations
The Staff and students of Poornprajna Education Centre , Yelahanka , celebrated Founder's Day with much
Fervour and gusto. The day was celebrated in reminiscence of Founder President H.H Sri Vibudhesha Theertha
swamiji.
The Chief Guest for the day was Sri. M. A. Suryanarayna , Principal, Scientist of Indian Institute of
Horticultural Research, Bengaluru,. In his address, he highlighted the importance of medicinal plants. Naming a
few common plants regularly grown in the garden and he pointed out their medicinal value. Secretary of Udupi
Sri Admat Mutt Education Council Dr. K. Srihari spoke about the vision of the Founder President, who had
dared to dream and worked for the betterment of society. The annual school magazine "CORONA" was
released by the chief guest. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions conducted to
commemorate the day. A short cultural programme was given by the students.
Well-being Out of Waste
"Wealth Out of Waste (WOW)", a recycling programme was initiated on 4.7.16 by the Paperboards & Specialty
Papers business of ITC, has evolved into a corporate level program with scope enhanced to "Well-being out of
waste" focused on creating scalable solutions for spreading awareness about recycling, encouraging people to
segregate & dispose waste responsibly and creating sustainable livelihoods for people working as rag pickers.
BBMP in collaboration with ITC had given a power point presentation on WOW and tried to create awareness
among the students of V-VII about recycling. Students were asked to bring waste papers that include
newspapers, old notebooks, magazines, etc., and incentives were announced for the school that could give
maximum paper for recycling.

Parent Interaction Programme was held on 2nd July 2016 for II standard.
Resource Person Ms. Ashwini Ganig conducted the workshop on the topic "Teaching children personal safety
skills". Parents interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts.

VII Standard Parent Teacher Meeting On - 04.06.2016
Hon. Jt. Secretary Sri V.N.Kedilaya and High School Principal Sri H.S.Ramesh were welcomed by Primary
Principal Mrs. Myna Reddy. N.S. She welcomed the parents and students of class VII and introduced the
subject teachers. Later, discussed the curriculum of the academic year 2016-17. Power point presentation was
presented with respect to the activities of the Primary School. S.S.L.C. results were also highlighted to motivate
the students.
Parent Interaction Programme for Class I
Parent Interaction Programme was held on 18th June 2016 at Shri Vibudhesha Theertha Auditorium from 10.00
a.m.- 12 noon for Std. I parents. Resource Person Mr. Jini.K.Gopinath conducted the workshop on the topic
"Quality Time with Children". Parents took part with great enthusiasm and interest .
International Yoga Day 21-6-2016
International Day of Yoga was held on 21-06-2016 Chief Guest for the day was Sri. Padmashree Y.S.Rajan,
Former Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University. Hon. Secretary Sri S.S. Hubli, Hon. Jt. Secretaries Sri
V.N.Kedilaya , Sri V.V.Bhat and Dr.Prof.K.N.Hari Bhat were also present.
A book on Yoga "Yogaprajna" which was compiled by Hon. Jt. Secretary Sri V.N.Kedilaya was released by the
Chief Guest.Students of class VI and VII performed a few asanas.
Science Forum
"Science makes the nation move". Simple scientific experiments are conducted by the children in the assembly
on every Friday.
Environment Day 5-6-2016
Children of class VII actively participated in planting saplings in Allalasandra on 5-6-2016. Few teachers
accompanied the students.

To Mark the World Environment Day students of class VII gave speeches on Environment. Students from Class
I planted few saplings in the school garden.
Students displayed charts and placards having various slogans to spread awareness about protection of our
Environment.
