Power Off Procedure of BSC and BTS (ZTE)
Following steps need to be executed for power off the BSCs amp BTSs-
1 Manually Backing Up BSC Configuration Data-
2 Manually Backing Up BSC System Data- Backup of following items need to be taken
Alarm database backup file BAMOMM database backup file Registry backup file License backup file BSC and BTS Configuration backup file
3 Manually Backing Up BTS Configuration Data- Back up all board software versions namely the OMC version BTS software
version and logic version Back up the BTS information (Hardware inventory)
4 Hardware Inventory Sub rack wise BSC Hardware layout to be kept in excel sheet
5 License Inventory Take backup of all available licenses (CS CE etc) inventory
6 Manually Backing Up LAN Switch configuration Data- Configuration files backup should be taken in external hard drive manually
7 BTS Configuration Deletion- After taking backup of above mentioned BSC and BTS database delete
configuration of all BTSs defined in respective BSCs
Note - Ensure that the backup data copied on external storage drive power off the main units
After completion of systemconfiguration backup procedure of BSC and BTS configuration deletion of BTS Below mentioned procedure need to be followed for Power off the BSC Server Racks amp BTS-
BSCBTS amp connected nodes Power- off Sequence Work Flow
Prerequisites
Conditions
Wear an ESD wrist strap properly
To avoid failures identification amp mapping of switches on the PDB and the internal components in the cabinet should be done prior powering off any device
Power off sub rack-
Set the circuit breakers in the PDB to OFF for Sub-rack
After confirming that the sub rack is successfully powered off power off the next sub-racks
Power off Main Processing sub rack-
Set the circuit breakers in the PDB to OFF for Main Processing Sub-rack
Powering Off the LAN Switch-
Turn off the power switch of the LAN Switch
Note- Perform this step only when the LAN Switch has a power switch
On the PDB set the switch that controls the power supply to the LAN Switch to OFF
Ensure that the PWR indicator on the LAN Switch is off If the PWR indicator is off it indicates that the LAN Switch is powered off
Powering Off the BAMOMM Server-
Turn off the switch of the BAMOMM Server
Turn off the corresponding switch in the PDB to OFF
Ensure that the PWR indicator on the BAMOMM is off If the PWR indicator is off it indicates that the BAMOMM is powered off
Powering Off the KVMS-
Turn off the corresponding switch in the PDB
Turn off the power switch on the rear panel of the KVMS to O
Note - If no power switch is available skip this procedure
Check the status of the PWR indicator of the KVMS If the PWR indicator is off then KVMS is powered off can be inferred
Powering Off the BSC Cabinet-
On the DC PDC turn off the power switch that controls the power supply to the cabinet
Check whether the RUN indicator on the PDB is off If the RUN indication is off it indicates that the cabinet is powered off
Powering off the BTS-
Turn off the power switch that controls the power supply to the BTS Turn off the MCB in SMPS that supply the Power to BTS
Powering Off the M2000 System
Take ldquoBack Uprdquo of all system files and system data Execute appropriate commands to stop the operation of the system Turn the power switch ldquooffrdquo at host Switch off the power supplies to other units in the following order
10486981048698Disk arrays 10486981048698Terminals
For further clarification and understanding of switch off process refer the detailed procedure pasted below
Note
After power down of the complete unit please ensure that all the switchescircuit breakers are in ldquoswitch offrdquo mode
After power off connected electronic equipment only one must move ahead for powering down of respective UPSs PP AC and other related units
