ages.
2) Time for Volunteering
Pi Youth Association maintains awareness and dissemination activities for sustainable volunteering
activities. Also, Association works for dissemination of volunteering and working for more young people
join the NGOs. Volunteering time is about how many hours you volunteer in a week.
3) Technology-Based Development
One of the main conditions of development is to increase the economic capacity. That is possible by
developing high value-added products and services in our era. It is not only the fact that our country starts
to produce technology; but it cannot be accomplished with the provision of physical infrastructure and
financial support. The young people who are the partner of today and wish of coming days need to be
ready as having awareness and education for it in order to the fact that this process can be succeeded.
We are producing projects, in which youths use more technological tools, aimed at developing and we
are improving our young people’s ability to use and produce technology. It means that we are trying to
actively involve in the human factor besides the economic and physical elements in the technology
mobilization of our country.
4) Healthy Life
Healthy a community constitutes of healthy individuals. It is ensured that young people should have
positive attitudes and behaviors on the subject of healthy living in order to guarantee community’s health
in the future. Pi Youth Association organizes projects and activities on this subject in order to contribute
to it.
3
5) Civil Society Capacity Building (Just for Youth Organizations)
Our association, who carries out capacity building activities for non-governmental organizations applying
only youth oriented activities, creates&conducts projects and gets into partnerships in this field. Our
association identifies NGO’s deficiencies in macroscale and tries to fulfill them.
6) Social Media Analyses
Rapid development of technology in the recent period has led to the appearance of term “social media”.
Social media is so common any longer that it has become a channel that especially effects youths for 24
hours. Therefore, the reflection is also great on young people. They access everything easily and quickly
in the channel where every organization working on youth activities should have detailed knowledge.

Young people is one of the disadvantegous group like disabled groups and women, although they are
unnoticed by the rest of the society. They have some problems in society and they have rights about it
they want to have. With this project between Turkey-Germany with the total number of 14 from both
countries, they will try to tell being young in their own country, their problems and what is the expectations
of society from them primarily to each other and then to the rest of the society via theatre. Our participants
will meet each other and have knowledge about each other’s culture and then they will convey to the
7
audience what it’s like to be young in their society through the creative drama plays and more they will
have an awareness about their peers’ expectations, problems and cultural backgrounds.
Thanks to this project our participants will learn social, cultural and historical relations between two
countries with two sides’ viewpoint with non-formal leaning technics and they will have an active role in

NATİONAL PROJECTS WE’RE CARRYİNG OUT
More information about the national projects our association carrying out is given below.
Genç Bak-İş
In the recent period the youth employment has been getting a growing problem day by day both in Turkey
and in Europe and labor market complains about not finding qualified personnel who has vocational and
technical training. In other words there is nonequilibrium and discrepancy between supply and demand
in the labor market. When we get to the root of the problem, the necessity of youth-oriented policy-making
shows up for popularization of vocational training and making it qualified. The fact that this policy offer
must be determined based on the youth’s opinions is a right step. With this Project, we discuss the
obstacles against the youth’s tending to vocational training, will create a youth policy and represent it to
decision makers. Within the scope of Genç Bak-İŞ, 81 NGO representatives, who come from 81
provinces, came together in İzmir, in the year of 2016.
Genç Bak-İŞ was comprised of 3 regional meetings and 1 National Summit.
