Background
• Painter’s Registration Board of WA (PRB) Act of Parliament 1961 - cannot conduct painting activities over $700 per job site
• PRB’s jurisdiction – Carnarvon to Esperance
• As of August 2012 – Jurisdiction state wide
• Regional Painters – required to be licensed
• Opportunity – to provide training
Project Team• Team Leader
– Oversee progress, facilitate team meetings, complete project documents
• Content Developers– Develop learning materials, activities, quizzes and assessments
• Instructional Designer – Design flow of content, program self-marking assessments/results
• Multimedia Developer – Select colour, patterns, style of graphics to presentations
• Pilot Lecturer – Select/induct/monitor students– Facilitate final assessment

Pilot Program – Induction• Initial intention was to induct students using:
– On line program called “Eluminate”• Much like a telephone conference call , with added feature of visually presenting information.• Our intention was to induct them how to use the LMS “Moodle”

1st text message student to check important email sent2nd email introductory letter of welcome to student:
• with directions how to access the “Moodle” site• provide them their logon and password• and included a link to a small pre-recorded induction uploaded onto

• More instruction/direction needed to be given to
compensate due to lack of face-to-face contact
