WP1.1 Definition of innovative technologies to be considered for sustainable low-carbon transport.
WP1.2 “State of the Art” of innovative technologies considered. Revision and comparison of existing demonstration projects in Europe.
WP1.3 Conclusions. Definition of “best available technologies” in short-mid term for sustainable low-carbon transport.
Oxford 14th and 15th October, 2010
SubGroup Innovative Technologies
• Main activitiesSurvey of available new technologies for sustainable transport and CO2 reduction
Definition of main parameters to take into account about available new technologies for sustainable transport implantation ( i.e. cost, energy efficiency, CO2 reduction, operational and maintenance data, life time, etc.)Definition of a harmonized database structure with such general parameters and other specific items related with the particular application (i.e. country, city, population, extension, type of city, climatology, etc.)
Oxford 14th and 15th October, 2010
SubGroup Innovative Technologies
• Main activities
Analysis of database results from different points of view and criteria, in order to find the most suitable “best available technologies” for every particular case.
Use the collected data from European and National projects to complete the database.
Collection of available data from European and National projects involving new technologies for sustainable transport and CO2 reduction
Oxford 14th and 15th October, 2010
SubGroup Innovative Technologies
• Main activities
Compiling of different reference cases, at least one from each ITACA region, in a handbook of “good practices” about innovative technologies to help to local and regional administration to choose for every city or urban area the most suitable “best available technologies” in short-mid term for sustainable low-carbon transport.
