On an aerial photographic flight aspart of a geolyphic study for a miningenterprize, Mr. Inake Oses was flyingover the southern part of the state ofGuarico, Venezuela on the morning ofFebruary 13, 1966. Around 10 a.m. theplane was surveying a region 80 kilo-meters south of the city of Calabozo, flying at 8,000 feet, when suddenly Mr.Oses' attention was attracted by a bril-liant yellow incandescent object flyingerratically at high speed below theplane. The object would stop suddenlyin midair for a few minuteg then rushoff again in a different direction. Osesinstructed the pilot to try to follow theobject while he began taking pictures. The chase continued until both theplane and the object were over a min-ing site near the "Paso del Caballodam." Here the object stopped againand was photographed as appears in thepicture reproduced above. It then ae-celerated to fantastic speed and flewoff towards the south where it disap-peared.

In a written report to the Caracasnewspaper, "El Universal," Mr. Osessaid: " . The object which we sawand appears in this photograph float-ing in midair, due to its shape and per-formance in space appears to be a fly-ing machine of some sort completelydifferent than those we know about. . . "

Due to the confidential nature of theaerial survey project that he was en-gaged in, Oses waited until his contractwas terminated and he had left Vene-zuela before he sent the negative toAPRO's Venezuelan representative,Horacio Gonzales G. He was using Kodak

is still being investigated, we will pre-sent the basic details of the alleged land-ing or near landing adjacent to the NorthD-ade Elementary School in Opalocka,Florida. :\[e would like to ttrant R. X.Breast of Miami for his quick reporting.

On the ?th of April at a li'tfle after10 a. m., a UAO was purportedly ob-served by two teachers and a group ofelementary school children. According tonewspaper reports, the object appearedin a tree-dotted field. Mrs. Virginia Mar-tin, a 6th grade teacher, didn't pay muchattention when the object was firstbrought to her attention as she was busytrying to get them in line. A large num-ber of the 200 children at morning recesswere running toward the school fence, pointing and trying to get her attention.Aeeording to the Miami Herald, the ob-ject was seen by fourth grade teacherBob Apfal, Mrs. Martin, and sixth gradeteacher Mrs. Marian Waters, and it washovering above the ground behind apine tree in an open field.

Mrs. Martin told the Herald: ,,It seem-ed to move in toward the school, thenwent straight back and dropped belowa pine tree. It came up again and wentwestward." Also: "ft was oval-shapedand seemed to hover." While Mrs. Mar-tin hestitated to tack the label "flyingsaucer" to the object, Bob Apfal had noqualms, said: "It was a flying saucer."Apfal claimed Friday was the second con-secutive day that he and his studentssaw UFOS north of the school grounds. He said they were metallic appearing.

The teachers' afternoon of Friday wasspent being interviewed by AF inves-tigators from Homestead A[8.

Later on Friday a Mrs. Mary Troessercalled the Miami Herald and said thatshe had seen an oval object with redlights just over the trees in the direetionof Crestview Elementary School.

To continue our log of the Crestviewevent:

Mr. Breast heard the news of the sight-ing at noon on Friday, the ?th, and at1:30 p.m. he went to Crestview Elemen-tary School in Opalocka, Dade County,(on the northwest edge of Miami). Helearned that unidentified objects hadbeen seen on two days, Thursday andFriday. The only data he could securewas that the object was "larger than akite" and when he requested to speakto the principal he was informed thatHomestead AFB had been contacted andthat an investigator was being sent outand that no information would be givenout. He did not even learn the name ofthe teacher who witnessed the UFO withthe school boys on Thursday,

chrldren outside searching the skies.. Th_e initial story appeared in ihe gApril edition of the Miami Herald. Sincethen, a teacher who has an agent friend.was-attempting to sell the stoiy to a NewYork-based magazine.

Qn the 13th, John Wolf, 42, printerand student at Dade Junior Coitege, rJ-ported that he and his sons, just backfrom a Scout Camporee, werl in ifieyard back of his home on the Bth ofApril and saw three or four objeets hov-ering just beyond a line of tiees near9""11-rj"ff Elementary School. Accordingto Bill Barry of the Miami News, therEwere 30 or 40 people, mosfly adults, standing around on the deadend roadand in the field looking to the north. Some had binoculars. When John Wolflooked he saw the objects also-three orfour of them hovering just behind aline of trees. They appeared to changeshape from oval to cigar-shape and backagain, the observers told Barry. Theyappeared as globs of white with redflashes and transparent domes on top-not unlike the glass dome on a coffeepot.

Wolf said that at the same time he !)watched the objects Ie eould see air-craft from North perry Airport flyingaround. He could make out the detail ofthe airplanes but there was litfle detailon the objeets. \[hen a plane approachedone of the objects it ,,just was 4ot thereanymore." When the plane left the thingwould reappear and always in the samespot.

Wolf claimcd he watched the objectsfor nearly an hour, went home and gothis wife. She didn'L believe him untilshe looked and saw them for herseU.

Weather conditions included a brightclear sky with few clouds. The objectsseemed to be below the clouds, made nosound, left no trail. Toward afternoon theobjects slowed their activity and thenrvent away. Wolf used naked eye observa-tion and 7X50 binoculars, whieh indicatesthe objects were a considerable distanceaway as he was not able to obtain resolu-tion for detail.

The Air Force announced that whateveryone saw on Friday (the day beforeWolf's sighting) near Crestview Elemen-tary was a Coast Guard helicopter. Wolfstates firmly, however, that what he sawwas not a helicopter-besides, there wereno helicopters in the area on Saturday.
