Principal’s Note As the end of 2016 draws near I congratulate all staff and students on their work during another successful year of learning. IPS students have shown they are keen to be challenged in the fields of academic, environment, sporting, creative, public speaking, debating, music, citizenship and continued service to our school. Their commitment, effort and energy are outstanding. In 2017 our school will continue the successful learning programs and strive for continual improvement to build the best educational opportunities for our students. I would like to wish all our staff, students and families a safe and fun Christmas
break and look forward to the new school year.
Presentation Night Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate our students academic, cultural, social and sporting achievements at last nights Presentation Night. Congratulations to all students who received an award to recognise their efforts and achievements. During the night the audience was entertained by the Primary Choir. Jessica Partridge and Narelle Isaacs-Munro enthusiastic speeches were well received and showcased the high level of Public Speaking at IPS. Congratulations to Justin Quirona who was awarded Dux for 2016.

Christmas Carols in the Hall
Yesterday students enjoyed their end of year class parties. Plenty of fun and food
was enjoyed by all. As a special treat Mrs Aitken, Mrs Hare and a very talented group of singers performed
a range of Christmas Carols in the hall during lunch for everyone to enjoy.
Year 6 Farewell Tonight the Year 6 Farewell will be held in the hall at 6pm with a “Hollywood” theme. Students will enjoy dinner and a dance. On behalf of the staff and students at IPS, we would like to wish all of our Year 6 students the best of luck in their future. We look forward to hearing of their success as they continue to grow and learn.
