KSBC CelebratesHomecoming

Kershaw SecondBaptist Church willhold its homecomingon Sunday, Nov. 17during the 10:30 a.m.morning service. TheGood News Trio, fea-turing Chris Gardner,will perform.

I was born andraised here. Jeff is myhusband and we havetwo kids; a son, Sidwho is 19 and adaughter, Mallorywho is 15.

Why did youdecide to open thebusiness in thisarea?

I’ve always wantedto own my own busi-

ness. I never couldfind what my nichewas. I knew it washard to find a placearound here to tan soI tossed around theidea for a couple ofyears and finallydecided to try it out.

What products orservices do you pro-vide?

We offer women’sjewelry and acces-sories and are goingto do some boutique-style clothing lines.As far as the tanning,we have five level 5beds, one level 3 bed,and three level 1beds. We are alsolooking to have astand-up booth andmaybe do some spray

tanning. Right now,our special is $59.99a month for unlimitedvisits.

What are yourimmediate goals forthe business?

I just want to keep

people happy. I wantthem to keep comingin and know aboutthe things that theywant. I always like toshop locally so I wantto do well so we cankeep business here.

What plans do youhave for the futureof the business?

Expansion. I thinkwe have some room inthis building for moreexpansion but beyondthat, we’ll have towait and see.

Each year, a local vet-eran is presented with

an American flag duringthe program but the vet-eran is not revealed untilthe presentation. Theprogram is beingthemed, “We Salute You”and will feature perfor-mances by members of

the band, chorus, danceteam, public speakingclass, student govern-ment, and JROTC.
