Institute Industry Partnership Cell (IIPC): The objective of the cell is to bridge the gap
between industry and academic Institute. The IIPC comprises of Placement Cell & Training
and Development Cell.
(i) Training & Development Cell: It is a pre-placement drive that consists of various activities
planned for Post Graduate students MCA. It aims to bridge the gap that separates students
from opportunity. For years, colleges have used exams to determine whether to deem
incoming students “college ready” or assign them to developmental education. However, the
emerging information reveals that the tests have little correlation to students’ future success,
casting doubt on their use even as the high stakes for students of taking remedial courses
become clear. Educators are rethinking whether the tests are fair and wondering if their
traditional use constitutes a barrier to college completion. Keeping in mind the above IITM
conducts following activities on regular basis:
(a) Communication Skills Training - Coordinators ensure that communication skills
training sessions are arranged twice a week in all classes.
(b) Mock Interview - Coordinators have to plan at least four mock interviews per semester
per batch. The interview panel should assess and guide the students in terms of their
general code of conduct for interviews, confidence, behavioral and technical aspects.
(c) Aptitude Test - Coordinators have to ensure that at least 6-8 tests per semester per batch
are organized. It is their responsibility to get the set of tests formulated along with
answer keys in a standardized format from the resource persons well advance in time.
This scheduling need to be coordinated with Class Mentor that the regular classes are
smoothly conducted as per time table ensuring that their regular classes are smoothly
conducted as per the timetable.
19
(d) Group Discussions - Coordinators have to ensure that the scheduling of GDs is planned in
batches and the topics for the GDs have to be designed keeping in view the industry scenario.
This scheduling needs to be coordinated with Academic Coordinator ensuring the smooth
conduct of regular classes as per timetable.
(e) Pre-Placement Talk - Coordinators will ensure that TPO give organizes a pre placement
interaction with every batch whenever students are going for placements.
(f) Technical Test - Coordinators have to ensure at least 6-8 tests per semester per batch are
organized. It is their responsibility to get the set of tests formulated along with answer keys in a
standardized format from the resource persons well advance in time. This scheduling needs to be
coordinated with Class Mentor ensuring the smooth conduction of regular classes as per
timetable.
(ii) Placement Cell: The Placement Cell is headed by Training & Placement Officer (TPO)
along with other faculties and students representatives as members. The Placement Cell is
responsible for networking with industry and conducting placement activities. The training
and development cell also comprises of faculty members and students representatives. The
cell is responsible for conducting career guidance activities such as mock interviews, group
discussions, workshops on resume building, business etiquettes etc. The details of the
structure mechanism are as follows:
(a) Every student who wants to avail the Training & Placement services has to register with
Placement Cell, failing which they tend to have no claim on training and placement
services. Every student who registers with it is bound by the terms and conditions as laid
down in the Placement Policy. Registration implies submitting details to the cell
prescribed format made available with the IIPC.
20
(b) All placement/job opportunities are informed through notice board and Institute’s
website.
(c) Eligibility criterion is specified by every company participating in campus recruitment.
Every student, who fulfills this criterion, may attempt the recruitment process of any
company until he/she gets the offer.
(d) Companies are expected to give a Pre-Placement Talks (PPT) or a written communication
laying out the details of the company and the prospective offer before the process. Once a
student appears for the process, the student cannot reject the offer made by the company.
(e) No further attempts will be permitted to the students who have secured offers from any
company, irrespective of job profile, salary offered, etc. Thus, students can have only one
job offer. All the students who secure an offer will have to compulsorily join the
company.
(f) Once registered, students will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature from a
particular recruitment drive unless there are some exclusive points mentioned in the pre-
placement talk of which the students were not appraised of earlier. In such a case,
exceptions can be made only after the consent of the TPO. Any student who withdraws
the candidature, rejects the offer at any stage, abstain from any rounds during recruitment
process without sufficient reason will not have any further claim for training and
placement services.
(g) Preferably, Pre-Placement offer to summer trainees are to be made before the actual
placements start. The student must decide, within 4 working days of having got the offer.
If the Pre-Placement offer is accepted, the student will have to opt out of the Institute
21
placement process. However, a student with pending Pre-Placement Interview Offer is
eligible to participate in the future placement drives.
The Institution has recorded 67% employment of its students through campus placement
initiatives (the details are in respect of IT and Management students), whereas, 33% of the
employed students have been placed through off campus activities. The Institution feels
pride in acknowledging that out of these 33% of students; a few of its alumni are involved
in entrepreneurial activities and are managing their own enterprises. List of Companies

respondents. Focus group is concerned towards inculcating research and self-learning
abilities among students. Students are encouraged to write Technical Research Papers and
Projects. Focus group organizes mock interviews, technical sessions, group projects,
Research Projects, GDs for respondents to discuss their view about a topic. Interview is
conducted in an unstructured and natural way where the respondents express freely their
view points on any aspect.
(iv)Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Feedback - IQAC takes the feedback from the
students and faculty, With regard to the respective subjects required the completion of the
course. The IQAC feedbacks are conducted each semester. Students play an effective major
role in the functioning of the IQAC .The Head of Departments who are the members of
IQAC take informal feedback from the Class Representatives and also conduct meetings to
ensure an effective functioning of quality. These representatives may voice out their
feedback on various issues in the periodic meetings held by the IQAC. The IQAC also takes
student’s informal feedback to further improve the existing academic and administrative
practices. Institute tries to integrate alumni feedback in the functioning of the IQAC. Alumni
feedback is taken on their experiences at the campus, the lacunae in the existing teaching
practices for incorporation of their suggestions.
(v) Alumni Surveys - The Alumni Association of the Institute of Information Technology and
Management (Regd.) has been formally registered with the Registrar of Societies Govt. of
Delhi. Under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, (Registration No: S/

1.5 Indicate how results of the assessment of achievement of the PEOs have been used for redefining the PEOs(Articulate with rationale how the results of the evaluation of the PEOs have been used to review/redefine the PEOs.)

The process of redefining PEOS is coordinated by IQAC. The Committee assesses the
attainment of PEOs through the formally stated directed and indirect methods stated. The need to
redefine PEOs is examined critically based on the inputs given by PACs. The recommendations
hence collected are highlighted and further discussed at university level (affiliating University,
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University). University Program Coordination Committee
Meetings held biannually and is represented by HOD where the Program status, industry
requirements and other related issues are deliberated upon are been reviewed. The changes
hence recommended are integrated in the curriculum to reflect current industry trends and
specify the latest tools and technologies. The PEOs are then again revisited and aligned with the
changing requirements of the Program and industry.
