Multi Smoothie Recipe

Makes about 1 litre of smoothies

Prep: 10 Minutes

Blending: 3 minutes

INGREDIENTS500ml dairy milk or milk alternative300ml almond milk or milk alternative1 teaspoon chia seeds1 teaspoon hempseeds1 teaspoon ground flaxseed/LSA mix½ teaspoon turmeric either fresh or ground (will turn smoothie a pale yellow)½ cup natural Greek yoghurt2 teaspoons vanilla

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Add all ingredients to a large 2 litre jug or blender jug. Mix well for 3 minutes.

At this point you can add your fruit combination (see next page)

If too thick add a little milk or even coconut water.

SMOOTHIE COMBINATIONS Add the following combination:

2 medium bananas, 1 cup baby spinach 1 cup mixed berries any berries work beautifully combined with banana 1 cup frozen mango, 1/3 cup coconut milk, 1/3 cup desiccated coconut Avocado, baby spinach and banana (make a smooth and nutrient dense smoothie) Pineapple, mango, banana Avocado, chia seeds, banana Kale, berries, pear and yoghurt Spinach, celery, kiwi fruit, yoghurt with the optional toppings (see next page)

STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE Use milk of choice – 800ml 2 cups frozen or fresh strawberries 2 teaspoon vanilla 2 teaspoon chia seeds ½ cup natural Greek yoghurt

CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE Use milk of choice – 800ml 1 medium banana 2 teaspoons vanilla ¼ cup dark cocoa powder 2 teaspoons chia seeds ½ cup natural Greek yoghurt

Choose any fruits in season and buy in bulk and freeze for smoothies. You can also use 200-300ml coconut water mixed with milk if preferred for some tropical and green smoothies.
