It was great to see the majority of students return to school last week.. Coming to school each day will benefit all students and also help their class win the attendance awards. Grandparents Day is coming up in week 3. Please remember to ask all of your grandparents to participate in a Grandparents day on Wednesday 23rd October. Now that we are moving into the warmer weather students are expected to wear their summer uniform. Our summer uniform looks great when we all wear it. Have a great week and enjoy iKiFiT. What a great start to the term! It was impressive to see the majority of students return to school in the first week. Attendance will continue to be a focus for this term. Please
encourage all students to come to school everyday. Remember – IT’S NOT OK TO BE AWAY. Today all students in year 3 & Year 5 who participated in NAPLAN earlier in the year would of received their student results. Parents/carers are most welcome to make an appointment with classroom teachers to go through their children’s NAPLAN results. Congratulations to Lilly Milgate, Emma Simmons, Hunter Flick, Grace Milgate, Bailey Simmons and Cody Simmons who all competed at the Baradine & St Lawrence’s Horse Sports last week. All riders did extremely well and came home with lots of ribbons. Bailey was
runner-up champion of his group at the St Lawrences Horse Sports and big brother Cody was champion of his group at both the Baradine Horse sports and the St Lawrence’s Horse Sports. Well done to all riders! Good Luck to the 2 Rugby League teams who are competing at the Brewarrina carnival on Wednesday. Cheers Kylie Pennell

their exciting holidays. We also had a
fantastic time swimming. Please
remember to bring your swimmers,

English we are focusing on the alternate
ways to write ‘ee’ and the tricky words
‘away’ ‘then’ and ‘them’.
Miss Bartley Last week 1N were very excited to welcome Miss Buckley to our classroom. Miss Buckley is a visiting student teacher who is doing a 4 week internship teaching 1N. We really enjoyed the time Miss Buckley has spent with us and we are looking forward to the lessons she will be teaching. In Theme this week we have been discussing what the word celebrations means and what it might look like. Cheers Miss B
Miss Duiz I hope you all enjoyed your first week back at school. Remember that from now on we go swimming every Friday so make sure you bring you swimmers, hat, towel and suncream in a plastic bag with your name on it. This week we will be beginning our theme unit titled ‘Celebrations’. We will be exploring all different types of celebrations. I hope you all enjoy the week and keep trying hard to complete your work to the best of your ability. Cheers Miss Duiz
Miss Nixon What a fantastic and busy start to the term. It’s
great to see that everyone came back to school
with a positive attitude and ready to learn. 1H’s
attendance improved gradually throughout the
week and we even had 95% on Thursday! It is
important to remember to come to school
everyday, as there are many fun activities to
participate in, including swimming, which will
be on every Friday. Please remember to send
labelled waterbottles and hats with your
children each day, as the weather is starting to
warm up. Have a lovely week Miss Nixon
