Prospective Bid Proposers shall acknowledge receipt of the total number the Addenda issued for this Project on the space provided on Section 00 41 00 Bid Proposal Form.
Failure to acknowledge receipt of the total number the Addenda issued for this Project on the space provided on Section 00 41 00 Bid Proposal Form shall subject Bid Proposers to disqualification.
The following clarifications are applicable to drawings and specifications for the project referenced above.
Item 1: Please find attached pre-bid meeting presentation, minutes, and attendance log.
Item 2: The cutoff date and time for questions is November 4th 2020 at 3:00pm, after this date and time no additional questions will be allowed.

Pre-Bid Meeting Agenda: DAS Construction Services Office of Legal Affairs, Policy, and Procurement
1.0 Pre-Bid Meeting:
1.1 The Owner, Architect, and Construction Administrator will conduct a Pre-Bid Meeting.
For the Pre-Bid Meeting Date, Time, and Location see Section 00 11 16 Invitation To Bid for this Specific Bid.
1.2 Attendance: 1.2.1 General Contractor: Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is strongly encouraged. At the Pre-Bid
Meeting, all prospective bidders shall sign his or her name on the official roster and list the name and address of the company he or she represents. For MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meetings, this shall be done no later than the designated start time of the Pre-Bid Meeting. Prospective bidders are advised to register early as no attendee will be allowed to register after the advertised start time. Bids submitted by contractors who have not properly registered and attended the MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting shall be rejected as non-responsive.
1.2.2 Subcontractors: Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is recommended.
1.2.3 Pre-Bid Meeting Sign-in Sheet:

3.1 Recording and Distribution of Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes: 3.1.1 The Construction Administrator is responsible for conducting the Pre-Bid Meeting and will record and
distribute meeting minutes to attendees and others known by the issuing office to have received a complete set of Procurement and Contracting Documents.
3.2 Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes as “Available Information” 3.2.1 Minutes of the Pre-Bid Meeting are issued as “Available Information” and do not constitute a modification

Demo 3 Dashed lines indicate existing construction to be removed or modified. Exercise care during demolition activities to maintain adjacent spaces and construction designated to remain. Take care during selective demolition not to damage or disturb any items to remain.
Demo 4 Refer to Fire Protection Second Floor Demolition Plan FD1.02, Mechanical Second Floor Demolition Plan MD1.02, and Electrical Second Floor Demolition Plan ED1.02 regarding demolition of items covered by those trades. Unless specifically noted otherwise, Contractor shall remove all switches and receptacles located in walls scheduled to be removed or furred out back to nearest accessible junction box or fixture housing, assuring power is maintained to other fixtures or receptacles on the same circuit.
Demo 5 Fire alarm initiation and signaling devices, emergency fixtures and other similar appurtenances located on walls to be removed shall be disconnected and salvaged for reuse per end user and mechanical engineer coordination. Disconnection of any items shall not compromise the integrity and functionality of devices not being removed.
Demo 6 Proceed with Work in an orderly, careful, safe manner. Remove material as Work progresses, leaving area clean at completion of demolition activities. Take particular care to minimize dust and use temporary partitions or poly "Zip Walls" and construction filters on air handling systems to contain dust and debris.
Demo 7 All equipment, fixtures, casework or other elements indicated to be removed and not specifically called out to be reused or salvaged are to be disposed of as follows: Where Owner requests items to be retained, Contractor shall return those items to a location (on site) designated by the Owner. Other items shall be appropriately disposed of by Contractor in accordance with the General Conditions.
Demo 8 Extreme care must be taken to minimize and contain noise, dust and construction debris. Materials may be stored on site at a location to be determined by the Owner, however materials must not exceed beyond the designated area. All materials and equipment required for the work shall be stored or placed so as not to endanger the general public, the Owner's employees and clients, or the contractors own workers.
Demo 9 The contractor shall provide suitable protection for the general public and their own workers for the duration of the work. Provide and maintain temporary barriers and signage as required to protect people from the demolition areas. No exits shall be blocked, adequate lighting shall be maintained throughout all areas affected by the work, and all existing life safety and security equipment and systems must remain fully operational and accessible. Erect weatherproof enclosures at any exterior openings and provide temporary egress routes as necessary to maintain safety for building occupants.
Demo 10 Existing Data, Telephone, or Cable TV jack to be removed. Remove cabling back to source.
Demo 11 Do not blank plate demolished electric, voice, or data outlets in all areas. Remove devices, wiring and boxes complete back to source or nearest junction box and patch and repair walls to match and align with existing.
Demo 12 Existing thermostat to be removed, refer to MEP/FP demolition drawing for further information.
Demo 13 New opening in wall shown thus. Coordinate dimensions with new partition layout. Existing wall construction assumed to be 5/8" GWB, 6" metal stud with 2" sound attenuation blanket, 5/8" GWB. Refer to Wall Type M.
Demo 14 Remove existing finishes in work area and prepare surfaces to recieve new finishes, typical. Refer to Finish Plan for further direction.
Demo 15 Remove existing window shades entire length complete including mounting hardware and brackets, typical.
Demo 16 Remove GWB only on walls shown thus. Take care not to damage existing studs.
Demo 17 Remove existing baseboard radiator cover as necessary to allow for new wall construction. Do not damage hydronic piping, Trim cover for a neat clean fit (hem all cut edges) after wall is built for a tight fit. Coordinate with Construction Plan A1.02 and MEP drawings.
Demo 18 Remove existing baseboard radiator cover this section. Coordinate removal with location of new wall on A1.02.
Demo 19 Existing floor monuments to be removed. Refer to Detail 6/A8.02 for further information.
Demo 20 Remove column enclosure, do not damage column.
