Medicalgasoutlet(s)shallbemanufacturedbyGenstarTechnologiesCo.,Inc.(GENTEC®).Consoleoutletshallbedesignedforconcealedpipinginstallationandavailableforgasservicesindicated.

Outletsshallbedeliveredtothecustomerinagasspecificlatchvalveassembly,andamatchinggasspecificlatchvalveassembly,bothcleanedforoxygenuseandinsealedpackages.Optionaltrimplatescanbeprovidedtotrimeachoutletassemblyandallowlatchvalvetobeindividuallyremovedforservicing.

ThelatchvalveassemblyshallbeOhmeda,ChemetronorPuritan-Bennettquickconnectcompatible,orhaveCompressedGasAssociation(CGA)DiameterIndexSafetySystem(DISS)threadedconnector,andacceptonlycorrespondinggasspecifictypeadapters.Eachlatchvalveassemblyshallbecolor-codedforeaseofgasidentificationpertheappropriatestandards(USorISO).Latchvalveassembliesshallhavegasspecificpinindexingcorrespondingtotherough-inassemblytopreventinterchangeabilityofgasservices.Outletscanbeeasilyconvertedfromoneadaptertypetoanotherbyreplacingthelatchvalveassemblywithanotherofthesamegasservice.

Universalrough-inassemblyshallincludearough-inplate(16ga.)withgasinlettubingsilverbrazedat180degreestotheoutletbody.Inlettubingshallbetype“K”copper,1/2”O.D.(12.7mm),andextend6-1/2inches(165mm).

Rough-inassemblyshallacceptonlythespecifiedgasservicebyuseofindexes.Adustplugshallbeprovidedtoprotectrough-inassemblyfromcontaminationduringhandlingandinstallation.

Rough-inassembliesshallacceptanylatchvalveassemblyofthesamegasservice.Thelatchvalveassemblyshallbeinterchangeable,allowingconversionfromoneconnectionstyletoanotherwithoutshuttingdownthemedicalgaspipingsystem.

Allpositivepressuregasoutletsshallhaveaprimaryandsecondarycheckvalve,wherethesecondaryvalveintherough-inassemblyallowsservicingofthelatchvalveassemblywithouthavingtodisruptgasservicetotheoutlet.

Allassembliesshallbe100%testedforleaks,manufacturedtocomplywiththelatesteditionofNFPA99,andULListed.
