May Day
1st May 1707 was the day that England and Scotland became in one country called The United Kingdom.
The May Day is refered to any of several holidays celebrated on this day. These holidays include the celebration of the Blessed
Virgin Mary and the International Workers’ Day.
In this day, there are lots
of celebrations like Morris Dancing,
crowning a May Queen, the Green Man day
and dancing around a Maypole.
The May Day is also
associated with towns and villages
that celebrate
springtime fertility and revelry with
fetes and community gatherings
International Workers’ Day
In this day, we celebrate too the Intenational
Workers’ Day that is a celebration of the social
and economic achievements of the international labour
movement.
Street demonstrations of thousands of people are organised every year in this day by the labour
unions.
