3. Why visit on a school trip? China Town is a place to explore
when studying many different subjects such as history, RE, Art and
many more. If working in the Early Years, China Town is a great
place to visit for subjects such as PSED, understanding the world
and expressive arts and design (see following medium term plan for
lesson/activity ideas in these areas. China Town is a great place
to visit at any time of the year, but it is even more exiting
during the Chinese New Year.

5. Explore the shops and markets for traditional Chinese food
and other items!
6. There are many beautiful statues and buildings that could be
a great inspiration for childrens expressive arts lessons, eg.
Drawing, modelling, painting etc.
7. Chinese New Year The Chinese new year is a wonderful time to
visit China Town, as it is beautifully decorated with traditional
Chinese decorations. Many people visit London and go to China Town
to join in with the celebrations, along with traditional dancers
and musicians. If you are lucky, you might even spot a Chinese
Dragon.
